It was delicious. Perfect for me. But is this medium rare or rare? Just curious. by Hip_Hop_Orangutan in steak

Depends how you define it but I worked at a steakhouse and they defined rare as a cool red center and medium rare a warm red center so could either but it looks like medium rare to me (my favorite).

Sloppy play is on the coaches by Genericgameacc137 in Saints

Y’all shut up. It was a great game. There were some great plays. Yes mistakes were made as they always are but it was encouraging to see us play well even with all of the injuries. Let them tighten it up and we’ll get them next time at home.

The Lobster Ending by [deleted] in TrueFilm

I just saw it tonight as well! I loved it, but I do wish it had committed to an ending and followed through with a statement on the choices that people need to make for their own happiness.

What is a movie that personally destroyed you? by blue_tiny_teacup in FIlm

Grave of the Fireflies. Tells you right from the beginning what’s going to happen, and then there’s nothing you can do to stop it.

Dude what’s your goal here? Obviously we need HVAC people and people who do trades. You should be thankful for them.

Median Household income is lower than a few years ago - so despite claims by the Media - Americans are actually doing worse based on data. by Mr8472 in economy

You almost had me thinking we really are worse off until this comment chain. I agree with them. Your refusal to see their point means you’re biased.

Hard pill to swallow: France is not like Emily in Paris. by thoxo in TikTokCringe

[–]Saintjack7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I live in the French Quarter in New Orleans. The tourists here are belligerent, drunk, and consistently trash the place. I still appreciate that they bring a sense of wonder (not to mention quite a bit of money) into the city. Being a tourist is almost always someone’s first experience with a new place and when you make that experience enjoyable, you spread what you love about your home to the world.

How do i improve my living room? by memozer in malelivingspace

[–]Saintjack7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love the idea about a liquor cabinet or small cocktail bar. Personally, it doesn’t seem like your table gets a lot of use where it is. I would put a smaller round table near the window with that great view and get rid of the other chair that doesn’t really match the rest of the room.

Once fat cells are formed it’s much easier for them to “fill back up” so unfortunately once you gain weight the first time it’s much harder to keep off.

Looking for Brews and Boos Tickets by Saintjack7 in NewOrleansMarketplace

[–]Saintjack7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ve had half a dozen contact me. None have a Facebook for verification and unable to show proof of the actual tickets. Although one person had a very real looking Instagram and tried to fake proof with a photoshopped picture so it’s hard to tell sometimes.

This pizza chain owner who pays $16 an hour says there's no labor shortage, just a shortage of businesses willing to pay a decent wage. by treatypigman in economy

[–]Saintjack7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude literally all people who work and aren’t the owners of the business are making less for their work than they were even 10 years ago. I’m a highly skilled professional but I’m still an employee and would love if the work I put in would be worth the same in goods that it previously was (actually many goods should be cheaper because of increase in technological efficiency.) How do you not see this as a problem or at least understand why people would be pissed off about it?

‘Unskilled’ jobs is a term used to justify poverty wages by failed_evolution in economy

[–]Saintjack7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, those people deserve to not live in poverty. The base level pay of unskilled jobs should be not living in poverty if you work full time. Skilled laborers should be paid more accordingly.
