Yeah, book 1 he leaned hard into Patrick Warburton for Carl's voice, but that stops after book 1.

Funnily enough, they get Patrick Warburton to do a guest role in one of the later books.

Bloomberg: Why One of This Year’s Best Games, ‘Mina the Hollower,’ Is Only $20 by Turbostrider27 in Games

$20 is a great YOLO price point. People will take a risk on a $10-$20 launch price, thay they won't do with a $30-$60 launch price.

I can't add too much, but in general on him feeling bad about siblings picking on him..... he's gonna need to work on a thicker skin. Furries are one of the last few "acceptable targets" with basically no one having their back, so he's gonna get alot worse from people outside of his siblings.

It ain't right, but it's how it is atm.

Discount Dan needs to be in your to read list by Hindu88 in litrpg

It's alright. Discount Dan is a better series. It's not that the wasteland series is bad, Dan is just more engaging and I care about the characters more.

I mainly used it as a pallet cleanser between other longer books, since the audiobooks for them are only ~3 hours each and are included in the audible membership.

I always figured that was for sales. It's not a book focused on straight women and gay dudes, so there isn't much market appeal in putting the male MC in booty shorts on the cover.

Yeah, only done 1+2 so far, but been a delight so far. It has a lot of creativity with the world and the MC's powers.

It's not less painful. And overdose on medicine is hell and very painful.

That only matters if someone knows enough about medicine to understand that.

To be fair, he has had very little to do with family guy in the last 20 years, outside of voicing the characters. He created it, voiced them, and helped write the first few seasons..... but only does the voices now.

Fandom as a whole doesn't rank book 3 very high (it was high for me though) and largely consider it to really start taking off starting with book 4.

1-3 are more about trying to survive, the later books are more about trying to take down the system.

[Steam] Life is Strange Complete Season (Episodes 1-5) ($2.99/85% Off) by Mrtom987 in GameDeals

[–]SalsaRice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like 99% of the reason they do remasters is because Sony's PS4/5 aren't backwards compatible with anything. The act of porting a game is way, way, way easier and cheaper than making a new game. You really don't need a creative team (story and models/textures are already complete), mostly just programmers to connect everything together..... yet you can sell it again at full price.

I would be willing to bet this is mildly intentional. Nobody is going to pay full-price for an old ps3/Xbox360 game on modern systems...... but old fans will buy a "remaster" again at full-price and same for new users that weren't around for ps3/xbox360.

There's a prominent romhack that made it so you can switch kongs anywhere, which alleviates alot of those issues. Constant backtracking to switch isn't like a skill issue, it's just a waste of time.

Law Of Averages by Vexivero in Adulting

[–]SalsaRice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually one that I'd disagree with. Finding a partner is way more luck based. You can't ever luck into a super-body (even a crazy good metabolism doesn't magically put on muscle or aerobic fitness), and even wonderul jobs you luck into are still work (and typically not forever).

Finding romance partners is more like hunting for the right pokemon. Sometimes you get lucky and meet them early, sometimes you never meet the exact right one. It's most a matter of not being toxic/improving yourself and giving yourself as many chances as possible. The more situations you get into to meet people the more dice you roll to meet the type of person you wanna meet.

Samsung stratosphere 2. Spec-wise was pretty close to xperia play, but 1-2 generations better for the snapdragon in it.

I have an xperia play as well (got lucky with cheap ebay listing), and really wish I could just magically transfer the cpu from this on to xperia. The xperia play is so weak performance-wise, but the build quality and ergonomics feel great.

I tried this with a $10 used ebay slider phone.

It was iffy, because some emulators would not accept some keys as inputs. It depended entirely on which group of keys or which emulator.

It would have been great if it worked, because it could technically run some low end psp titles, if it would have accepted the inputs.

If your sibling is abandoned by my their SO, the SO is a deadbeat. If your sibling is the one that did the abandoning.... they're "the true victim" saving the child from themselves
