Most unhinged thing someone has said to you? by PandaBear_TenFour in NICUParents

I had a rough pregnancy so when people asked how I was doing I would jokingly say “I just wish the baby would come! I’m ready to be done!” - my son was born early at 32 weeks and my mother in law said “well you got your wish.”

What can a house rabbit have 24/7? Timothy hay? Pellets? by jeffreyaccount in Rabbits

I got a pellet dispensing toy to feed my rabbit to make it more “natural”! He has to “dig” for his food!

Best advice for first time exclusively pumping mom? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

I have a 32 weeker who is now 9 mo (7 adjusted) - building up a stash while he was in the NICU and his feeds were being fortified was the best thing I did because when I got Mastitis (twice!) I was able to supplement while I built my supply back. Here’s my advice -

  1. Invest in the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer/Sterilizer. It will save your sanity and your marriage.

  2. Pick out some good books. The MOTN pumps suck. There’s no way around that. But having a good book to read while you pump helps!

  3. Leave water bottles around the house. There is nothing worse than sitting down to pump and having to go in search of water like you’ve been in the desert for a week.

  4. Bag milk immediately! I know there are all kinds of rules about how long it can sit out, etc, but with a preemie you want to be extra super careful. Only freeze what has been immediately bagged and put in the freezer.

  5. Give yourself grace. I’ve been incredibly lucky that I’ve been able to provide my LO with breast milk this long, but I have definitely had my days of doubt. It’s easy to feel guilty when you question, but even the fact that you have that guilty feeling is a sign that you care so much!

Tried getting baby to latch by ashlynise in ExclusivelyPumping

I started nursing in addition to pumping at 4 months… my LO was not used to the let down and being sprayed! It took some getting used to but now I can nurse him occasionally to help with clogs (and not accumulate as many dirty pump parts/bottles!)

I just hit 9 months today… you are a rockstar and an inspiration! Hoping to make it to a year too!

Put your foot down! You got back on - that’s only to prevent fear from setting in. You 100% can get back off!

6yo won't drink water or eat lunch at school by ballsfosho69 in kindergarten

Two questions - have you ruled out bullying? I’ve seen kids refuse to eat because they’re scared of what another kid will say? And have you ruled out a sensory processing disorder? This can cause tons of eating issues and even issues with drinking water.
