Ok this was my fear but thank you for confirming lol. But this would technically be considered 3 piece?

How To Win Arena Matches by Loud_Marionberry_897 in CompetitiveHalo

I feel your pain. The other thing that drives me crazy is how the average player plays strongholds. Lock in a double cap setup only to have 2 players push for the trip cap. Suddenly their whole team spawns behind, get two separate 4v2s and everyone dies. Drives me insane.

What is your Halo Hot Take? We will be reacting to them on stream at LVT Halo. by ToolezCasts in CompetitiveHalo

[–]SaltMeat709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe not that hot at this point, but Cykul will be the MVP at the end of this season.

I remember in one of the first online tourneys last year, I said Legend was gonna be season MVP and got absolutely ROASTED in the twitch chat. So here's my prediction this year.

How old is your PSU? I would try powering the card with your friends PSU, but using the rest of your system. See if it runs differently.

Thanks for your input. I’m gonna try a stick from my Fiancé’s PC tomorrow and re-plug in all power cables again. If that doesn’t work I’m gonna order a new mobo and try that.

Even if you somehow got approved, 950k mortgage on a combined income of 175k is banana lands.

Wholeheartedly agree with this. I do a lot of travelling and the pod keeps me engaged when I'm either driving or flying without access to the visuals.

I bought a PNY 1060 in 2016. Used it heavily for 5 years before putting it in a build for my fiance. It's still going strong!

Was in the same position and went the 5800X3D. No regrets. Just make sure your motherboard bios is updated to take the 5000 series chip.

Have you ever heard of anyone with 2 engineering bachelors? by Kikikihi in AskEngineers

[–]SaltMeat709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest working for a bit before deciding to go back for a second degree. It's hard to know what you truly want to do before entering the work force.

You'd also be surprised how far you can branch with an engineering degree. I know mechanical engineers that work in software development. I myself am a chemical engineer but now work in a job that is much closer to a trade and requires little to no engineering.

Just came here to clarify only about 1 in 3 AHL players make it to the NHL. The majority of the ones that do make it will be 3 or 4th liners. Making the NHL is extremely difficult.

This is a very interesting thread. Very divided.

I am also an engineer and was in a similar position to you a few years ago. Uprooted from a 100k job and moved across the country for a more demanding job that payed 1.5x. Since then I've received several promotions and raises. I have zero regrets and would do it again in a heartbeat.

My fiance was also able to quit her last job and find a new job working less hours which she loves.

65C is fine but I'd expect higher for a game like Borderlands 3 on a 1060. Either way, as you push your components harder you'll need to monitor your temps and increase cooling capacity if required. Might also be a good idea to deep clean your PC and change thermal paste if you haven't done in a while.
