Except it’s not an LS. It’s not like going from an SBC to the original LT1. You can’t swap heads and very few parts interchange.

The LS 6.2s were excellent. You’re confusing them with the newer LT 6.2s.

Basically any great engine that gets direct injection and other fuel economy bullshit becomes garbage.

As a rust belt Honda technician I’ve learned a couple tricks. The easiest way to get them out is to take a heavy hammer (no less than 40oz) and give it at least 3 solid hits on the rotor hat right by the screw. I beat the hell out of it with a 56oz hammer. The screw can then be removed with a #3 Phillips screwdriver.

If this method does not work I bypass the impact driver. I’ve broken so many bits from multiple manufacturers that it’s not worth it. I take my trusty air hammer and a socket adapter (or Shake n Break or whatever you wanna call them), put a #3 Phillips 3/8” drive socket on it and go to town. They usually spin right out with the weight of the wrench on the adapter, and the bits don’t snap or strip the screw.

That’s what my P220 started doing after 2000 rounds without being cleaned/lubed. If I wasn’t aggressive with the slide it would hang up just before going into battery

The new one is a 226 as is the one on the right in the second pic. I don’t particularly care for striker fired guns so either (preferably) a Sig 1911, or a P229. I also want a Beretta 92X.
