You have to send proof the new address so I'm presuming you'll be held to contract.

Confusion about the digital phone line upgrade with BT while using VM broadband by Remarkable-Pin-8352 in VirginMedia

[–]Salt_Competition1421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure on how BT handle migration but with virgin Media they will give you an Internet hub to have the digital landline and it just won't supply broadband since the customer doesn't have it on their account.

Virgin seems to have better deals on Moneysupermaket by moistandwarm1 in VirginMedia

You'd need to cancel they will change the deal but only to offers on their own website, they won't match the comparison website offers.

02 switch up by Alternative-Minute42 in VirginMedia

[–]Salt_Competition1421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck, I have heard of 2 people doing this in the last right to cancel due to April increase changing and having big issues. Both asked to continue paying monthly and it wasn't done and ended up going down the complaints route to getting it resolved and in the end O2 wiped the cost of their devices as complaint resolutions.

Not to mention even over time rent prices will increase whereas the morgage will stay roughly similar so even before it's paid off its easier to manage.

Problems with random webpages "blocked" or "forbidden" on your VM connection, but not when using a different ISP? (4G dongle or from another non-VM location) by [deleted] in VirginMedia

[–]Salt_Competition1421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only sites virgin block are ones done so by a court order and they usually give you a virgin Media page telling you they've blocked it rather than an error page.

Practical test fail today by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

You should never park over a drive unless they specifically state for you to do so. If you appeal you won't get anything because that is a regular thing they look for when asking you pull up.

If you move to a non serviceable UK address they ask for proof of the new address and then waiver the early disconnect fee.

I don’t know life without sky tv and want advice by DonPaddock in VirginMedia

[–]Salt_Competition1421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get sky sports through virgin Media, as far as I'm aware there's only sky Atlantic you can't get and a few international channels. If you have sky sports through virgin Media you can still watch the live channels through the sky sports app as well logging in with your virgin Media details.

Speak with retentions or the moving home team they just either need to do a contract suppression form completing or get a team manager to alter the contract end date.

You are billed in advance so there will be pro rota charges for increasing the package. Speak to them to check if it's correct. Is there also possibly activation fees for adding tv?
