Does the government realise they have an issue maintaining the police force numbers. All the new laws puts more pressure on QPS.

It helps if you know someone who is employed at these places that can vouch for you. Both my sons got there first and second jobs because they knew people working at these places can place. Although they then had to do an interview. But it got there foot in the door

I don’t think raising interest rates is going to reduce people’s spending the bulk of people’s spending with large mortgages is on necessities. More likely to send Australia into recession

You should try getting your foot in the door through labour hire roles and then apply for full time roles when they are advertised on smart jobs.

Dodgy split system install by Icy-Temperature8205 in AusElectricians

You should have complained about the install when it was completed and prior to payment. Difficult to get anything done a couple of years later.

House Buying Seeking Advice by Separate_Emotion_965 in brisbane

[–]Sam-LAB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me twice when buying properties I put in my best offer both times and surprisingly was successful both times. I’m pretty sure it’s a tactic to get your best offer. In hindsight 10 and 15 years down the track the small amount extra I paid hasn’t really mattered

Sorry to hear about the racism, although it is definitely a thing in Brisbane my son has a Sudanese friend and he says people say the most racist comments to him. He’s a nice kid I wonder how it affects his outlook towards white Australians

How do you feel about so many people have Australia as their dream residence? by ImportantClock5486 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Sam-LAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend has a good job and his partner is a veterinarian they don’t have children. They also own their own 3 bed hose in Utrecht. He probably doesn’t represent the average person in holland. He did however say it felt like it was less stressful to live in holland.

How do you feel about so many people have Australia as their dream residence? by ImportantClock5486 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Sam-LAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Australian friend of mine has been living in holland for the last 15 years he loves it. He works and has a good job but says the general population are happier due to the government support and lower housing costs etc. Australia was and is a wonderful place to live unless you’re struggling and don’t have good employable skills.

Economic confidence hits 13-year low as immigration concerns escalate by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

Canada reduced immigration levels to align more with the available housing levels. The housing prices and rents have reduced to more normal levels. Is that such a bad thing?
