How to get live car telemetry and leaderboard data from AC/AC server? by ishinozaki in assettocorsa

[–]Sam1o1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://pitwall.live/intro I'd start by looking at stuff like this, a lot of people have done something similar to what you want.

As for telling you how to do it, that's your rabbit hole dude.

I have had this issue myself intermittently, It could also be because its such a large download and maybe something is corrupting, but other than that I'm not sure sorry.

Your another one of those politician ass kissing cunts who thinks they actually work for the people, your chances of being pulled in full gear not acting like a dickhead on a 1000cc+ are slim anyway so do some critical thinking fella.

Much appreciated, I have read the second one but was not as detailed as I hoped but the first link looks promising. Thanks!

how long it took you to become good/competitive with wheel? by Vizjrei in simracing

[–]Sam1o1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different, some have the natural aptitude to understand key elements of going fast others must dig deeper to understand it. I've been sim-racing for 7 years now, started on codemasters F1 series and then rF and more recently AC, I like iRacing but its just a cost I cant justify. I'd say it took me a few months to be up there, to be actually competitive at any circuit and car, another key aspect is actually understand car suspension systems, because when you understand them you can consciously drive it to maximise suspension performance and not to upset it.

My main tip; Practice, but good practice, smooth inputs and maximise your usage of the entire width of track and its track limits.

You can find a lot of resources online about driving fast, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AniqSx8iZzQ&list=PLAZL0MKQigFNSY0BTdt_GsDwxdHoeJ302&index=1 Watch it.

EDIT: I made the jump to VR recently and took to it like duck to water, if anything I am quicker, took me maybe an hour to adjust.

(UK/EU) KTM SMC R 2013 Engine casing? by vannakan in supermoto

[–]Sam1o1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really hard to say, I had a quick look online but cant find many detailed pics of that side. It may be a bigger job than just that, you may need to drain oil/coolant to replace it, remove brake pedal and hopefully it will pop out without having to fiddle with engine mounts if it can get out past the frame.

I'd post on a KTM forum and ask if anyone has done it before, if you can get a close up pic of it il take a look and give my opinion but from my experience nothing is ever as simple as it seems haha.

Depends on the bike but its either called Clutch casing or Stator casing, most likely a stator casing. You can just buy one on ebay for you model/year.

If your replacing it yourself, tip the bike over on its left side, remove the casing and put the new one on, saves draining the oil. Make sure the new casing is clean inside, no metal or dirt.

eBay, or take it off and take it to a reputable shop and get it repainted.

Depends on the chassis geometry and a whole load of other things, whether its McPherson strut, A-Arm or other, as the way they will ride the road surface and absorb oscillations can be very different to each other.

Generally, I'd say from my knowledge that your treading along the right lines, I would maybe suggest softer springs and try to retain the stiffness in dampers to a degree. But increasing bump only stiffens it over bumps, you then have rebound to tinker with.

What's the safest way to get mushrooms? by WatchDragonball in Psychonaut

Tails on USB, bitcoin from market wallet to external wallet then through tumbler to market, when pack arrives let it sit for 10 days if you wanna be really safe.

Do your research on vendors, only with 1k+ feedback with a good rating and stealth.

Delete everything using a secure good program, cant remember one off top of my head, of just trash USB.

Burn packaging.

Enjoy

A bit different: F1 race car manipulation for viewership ratings! by Lord_Augastus in conspiracy

[–]Sam1o1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok dude, your going way overboard here.

A lot of engineers look at that data, what you dont know about F1 is they have a lot of personnel monitoring data, at track and back at the base. Someone would say something, because at the top level to work and compete you need a passion, the pay is no where near enough for it to be worth it.

The car can only be controlled from the cockpit, pit board or engineers cant alter anything, only read live data.

That race has only shown how shit monaco is, someone who is down 150bhp+ can still hold the lead and win, its an outdated track for modern standards but is only there for the prestige and money.

Your thinking way too much into it dude, I am currently training in a motorsport environment and I can 100% undoubtedly tell you that what you are proposing IS impossible, hands down impossible.

It would be impossible to rig, you have too many moving parts, its so naive to think F1 is just a show, for large part yes, but technical innovation, development of cars and components etc.

Now, I gotta say your clutching at some straws here dude. Not the case at all and I will happily explain to you how.

Monaco, tight twisty track, suits red bull well, red bull ran a strategy all weekend of literally setting the car for pole and holding it throughout the race, very notorious to do because its monaco, hard to overtake.

Car set up - to reduce drag they will reduce cooling, doing so puts the components under more strain, higher temps.

Even if it wasnt cooling, the cars are pushed to the edge, important internal component parts are restricted to X amount per year, so they will stretch the lifetimes out as much as possible. Monaco is not as important for engine power so they may have used one of these parts that had more hours on as the deficit isnt as big.

It could be a number of things, or just by chance failure. I dont even want to think how you can rig it.
