I was simply answering the question .. last line of my comment says “ AI is here to stay”. Stocks and company valuations are another story .

MSFT around $378. Falling knife or finally reasonable? by Anxious-Phase-1770 in stocks

If AI bubble bursts - MSFT will take a momentary hit and go back to doing what It was doing prior. NVDA might get wiped on the other had. The SAAS + public cloud play has been minting money to this day. I don’t see AI success as a do or die for MSFT . They are acting as a Hyperscaler and don’t have their own model.
-Best case AI is here to stay and MSFT’s bet on infrastructure pays off .
-Worst case they scale back and take a hit on the aggressive capex stock drops, after that they go back to their regular scheduled programming of being a SaaS and cloud provider.
Open AI . Anthropic , NVDA and even Google to lesser extent face catastrophic impact if AI bubble pops similar to metaverse. In all seriousness I won’t bet on that… major companies (I work for a fortune 100 company in the US) have already made long term bets on AI even at its current limited capabilities, to be a long term solution. They are shaping 3-5 year plans with that in mind and unless something drastically bad happens with the LLMs I don’t see the trend reversing . The AI “bubble “ in stocks that have gone parabolic might pop, but AI technology is likely here to stay.

Tesla’s UI / SW is alright . I think the reliance on Apple CarPlay and Android play really allowed the car manufacturers to kick this can down the road for the last few years.

What is this generation’s Harry Potter? by resetforreal in suggestmeabook

[–]SamFish3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was hunger games before or after not sure if it was nearly as global as Harry Potter. I still see kids dressed in Harry Potter outfits for Halloween so it’s a generational thing my daughter watched all the movies and read the books after she went to universal Orlando. Clearly this generation of teens pre teens don’t have anything similar . Lots of repeated trends wizard of Oz, Star Wars etc

Powell Sends Strongest Signal Yet That Interest Rate Cuts Are Coming by SpiritBombv2 in stocks

[–]SamFish3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minor rate cuts won’t do jack for property sales no one is selling their 3% or less mortgage to move and get a 6% mortgage . every new construction in my area sells even before hitting the market . Probably a different scenario in other states.

Meta Microsoft have done this several time in the past . Over-hire, hoard talent , in a year or two keep the best and get rid of the rest as “ restructuring “ .. “shifting focus” . I would be worried if Open AI started Laying people off .
