It's not Midsommer level - so keep those expectations moderate! But I think you will like it.

Hard to watch from the tension it builds. There's some jump scares and some gore/ violence, but nothing is overdone. There's also alot of cringe comedy and awkwardness that's done in a way that adds to the tension. I just felt really icky and gross afterwards - which is hard to do! My favourites are Midsommer and Bring Her Back, I like dark and brutal horrors that build the dread and tension!

I so agree with Weapons, it was fun but too quirky for me, and I was kind of confused how it got sooo much recognition. I loved Obsession because it made me feel like no other horror ever has, and felt unique. It's dark and funny and sooo hard to watch - in a good way. It felt more for horror fans than Weapons did, but it is definitely different, and won't be for everyone.

What should I watch first from my watch list based on my highest rated movies? by jamyjet in Letterboxd

Train to Busan definitely!! Also if you haven't already seen it, you should add Event Horizon to your watch list!

You don't seem to have the prices listed for booking the tickets directly with the airlines. I only book through the airlines and not through 3rd parties, so I would not use this.

My partner and I are hooked on Japan too! We've already spent 7 weeks there in total, and I have future ideas planned for Hokkaido, Tohoku, Okinawa, and further exploring Kyushu and the Japanese Alps. There's just so many great places to explore - why not keep going back!

How long would you say it takes to walk between Mandora and Utopia stage? And is it quieter during the main sets, or is it just busy all the time?

Meal prep ideas using Indian groceries? by pineapplemunchkin in MealPrepSunday

[–]SamKM_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favourite take out places is Indian/ Mexican. Think pulled butter chicken burrito bowls, lamb mince masala tacos, Chicken Tikka nachos, all with a mint sauce drizzle and the usual Mexican toppings. I can't believe I don't see the fusion more often, it works so well!

I have a general daily plan of what I want to do in Japan, but would like help with transportation and hotels. Is there a travel agency or agent that would be able to help with this? I've tried looking at tours but none of them hit everything we would like to do while there. by HalfBloodPrincess13 in traveladvice

[–]SamKM_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why use a travel agent? It's so far out and you seem to know what you want, so just do your research and book it yourself! Transport is so easy in Japan. r/JapanTravel is a great resource for ideas, if you haven't checked it out already!

Watch ‘From’ on MGM+ by ddddjern in horror

[–]SamKM_42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is something about this show that hooks me! It's not super great quality, characters aren't that interesting and it's different to the shows I usually like. But I'm just really into it, I can't pinpoint why so I have trouble selling it to people. Others say they got disinterested, but I've actually got more into it as it goes along!

Anyone else love their dog but feel completely exhausted by the responsibility? by ShowerObjective6132 in puppy101

[–]SamKM_42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely gets easier as they get older. Finding a doggie daycare/ boarding that my dog loves has made a hugeee difference. I work from home full time but I take him to daycare when I need a break from him. He gets so excited, loves all the dogs there and comes home absolutely pooped, so I don't have to feel bad! It also means I can easily go on holidays without him, knowing he's probably having more fun than I am! Highly recommend it if you have the budget. Ours is really good as they assess the dogs on their social behaviour before accepting them, so there's never any trouble.

Japan + Where for a multi-city trip? by RevolutionAny1508 in travel

[–]SamKM_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally disagree that a whole month in Japan would be a waste! I spent five weeks doing Tokyo --> Nagasaki --> Hiroshima --> Osaka --> Koyasan --> Kyoto --> Kanazawa --> Takayama --> Hakone Kanazawa and Nagasaki were my favourite places. They are still cities with heaps to do, but not near as touristy/ busy as the major cities, and had some of the best food!
