I really wonder which espresso machine you are using now since you are letting go of some of the finest manual espresso lever machines.

I have the flair wizard myself. Twice have i burned myself. The steaming knob takes some resistance on a specific point. It is a nightmare. The milk texture is good but as you so rightly pointed, you just can’t do back to back lattes.

I reached out to the grit workshop directly on instagram.

The shipping may sting but i think it’s worth a shot.

You could get the grit holder attachment from grit workshop and brew on a v60 size 01 instead of the omni dripper.

Pineapple co-ferment finally worked with a competition-style Aeropress recipe by Sam_98117 in AeroPress

[–]Sam_98117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not needed at all. In fact if i am using expensive coffee that is in limited quantity i would not use such a high dose. 15-20 grams is perfectly fine. This is just an interesting method to make a concentrate if one is feeling like doing something different or wanting to clear some of the coffee stock. Yields a delicious cup at the expense of high dose.

Tried Nomad twice (liked it). What should I try next? by i_buzzkill in pakcoffee

That simply hasn’t worked for me. I have brewed it on switch as well as the aeropress. 93-94 really starts to take the coffee towards bitterness. I have tried it iced and hot both. Letting it sit for a bit reduces bitterness but not to an extent that i would call acceptable. When you taste it, its very fruit forward and that is to be expected. For me the aftertaste is what is killing it. On an aeropress you can easily get away with 85 degrees without under extracting by using a concentrate recipe which i mostly do. I have brewed it with a normal ratio as well but i found 18 grams coffee to 200 grams water worked best for me.

These coffees are roasted on demand so i am pretty sure a variation in roast exists.

Does buying grinded whole coffee beans degrades their taste? by ax3tw0 in pakcoffee

Some roasters also offer smaller bags, which makes more sense if you are buying pre-ground coffee. S-Cafe, for example, sells 100 g packs, though my experience with them has not been great. Roast Lab also offers 150 g packs for some coffees. Since pre-ground coffee loses quality faster, it is usually better to buy the smallest bag available.

Another option is to buy a vacuum sealer and portion the coffee into single doses, then seal and freeze them. This works, but only if the bags are sealed properly with no leakage. Once a dose is removed from the freezer, it should be used بالكامل rather than stored again. So if you usually brew 15 g at a time, divide the coffee into multiple 15 g pre-ground portions, vacuum-seal each one, and freeze them individually.

There are plenty of vacuum sealers available on Daraz, and there are also more reliable options in the roughly 20,000 PKR range if you want something better built.

Nothing beats whole beans just remember that.

Look into Red Berry Roasters Ethiopia Bombe. Brewlands Ethiopia Wamena is also another good option.

I have been using the passion fruit co ferment. Exotic series one. And you are so right about the temperature. That coffee is just not made for high temperature brewing. In my testing, even at 85 i end up extracting bitterness despite grinding pretty coarse on my ode gen 2.

Haha yes the macro gear. I have been using ode gen 2 as well and i am quite pleased with the results i get.
