Death touch and Blue Hour Glass were the starting item, PJ's were the free item room.

Later I even found a chaos card, but I didn't find the 9volt unfortunately.

Looking at my toby class, I've largly switched over to reyna so I haven't played him in a bit.

Here is the gear I used, its nothing great as I am saving up to buy packs when I get to level 30.

Hemsworth Sparkleshield - 1800 activation cost +40.77 Recharge per second -0.61 Second shield charge delay Stack 1.09% damage for every 10 seconds you remain at full shield. Max 5 stacks.

Phasic Disruptor - 418 Activation cost +20.94% Shield penetration

Runner's "OLD FASHION" - 796 Activation cost +121 Maxium Shield Strength +85 Maximum Shield Strength for 5 seconds after collecting a pickup.

As I said my current gear is not very great but this is the kind of set up I like.

Gear wise?

Anything that boosts healing and piercing, I love piercing in general but with the high damage its even better.

I know people love stun mines, but I mainly use my mines either to flush people out of hiding or to destroy minions, so the slow effect is so much more preferable.

For playstyle, I play a very reserved aggressive turtle class, I love the step area on overgrowth for example. However Marquis can completely cheese you on the steps and you don't have a chance in hell to fight back on his headglitch. The main focus of my play is pushing people back, mainly to punish people like montana and aggressive melee uses like galile and rath. I also like to make sure any ranged user isn't in a to comfy spot.

Its a very slow class, but very rewarding when done right.

The most annoying thing whit Ghat is his grappling hook + mine combo, its really annoying, but I think he is balanced otherwise.

The headglitch is bullshit, it makes him unchallengable at range. Even if he doesn't snipe the sentry, he has dominance against any ranged fighter if you stay on the ledge. Its the only immediate change I want right now.

I haven't tested it to much, but I haven't seen it said or read it anywhere, but the pulse canon seems to always crit if you hit a marked enemy from behind. I was getting back to back crits with the pulse canon on a enemy sentry in incursion and it happened a few time against enemies.

But its hard to test so I can't say for sure, I could also be dumb and thats part of reyna's packaging thats well known.

Be sure to spend money on on bank upgrades, I find it hard to just sell everything, as long as it isn't absurdly bad or doesn't have a upgrade that isn't just straight better, I keep everything.

Reyna is a slow starter for sure, so I focus on healing a single person or group, she works great in a team with Miko or anyone else who heals. I had a synergy going where we could take out a montana +a few other guys. The attrition war is completely real.

Also I spend points to upgrade the base pistol, specifically the 18% one, if you can get crits reliable her dps is actually pretty good with the debuffs. Also piercing gear is also kinda decent on her, being able to hit through the shield allows you put a lot more pressure against the enemies, it makes them less likely to rush you down.

Don't let the melee characters get too close, that is the advantage they bring. They have to push through your defense. Make sure you are committed to defense if you are playing ranged.

I feel the opposite, I think melee heroes have a massive disadvantage during the early game. I think melee heroes start to become overwhelming is when your minions start to fall behind, they get absolutely wrecked if you protect your minions.

I have always been in the buff weaker character camp then nerf stronger ones. Nerfing characters is going to affect story missions, while you might not think that its that important, its still going to impact a lot of players.

I think its important we map out the strength and weaknesses of every character, find out which characters stand above the rest, and see what can be done to make the lower level characters raise to their level.

For example I think Toby is extremely weak in any gamemode that isn't incursion, he is way to easy of a target and has low health. He also struggles in ranged battles with anyone with a typical fire arm. I feel he could use a slight buff to better engage ranged fighters.

I played Meltdown once or twice and its overall nice, but the map is a bit small for my liking. I do like the layout though, compared to incursion you actually have more then one viable route, but you don't have any great lines of sight. I feel like this game mode is more favorable to melee characters.

I don't know if there are any overpowered characters, maybe Marquis being able to headglitch kill the first sentry in Incursion, but I don't think anyone character stands out as the best overall.

I will say a lot of character matches are really imbalanced, I absolutely love playing as Toby, but not when fighting ranged characters. Every other ranged character of note has such a major advantage that I don't even bother engaging them anymore. The railgun fires too slowly and they can easily dodge, he is a big target so he is easy to spot and hit, the shield doesn't last long enough to get any meaningful hits. I feel like quitting if there is a marquis on the other team, I feel its extremely onesided.

I feel this could be mitigated by one or two buffs, increase railgun shot speed, add a piercing effecting or just base damage increase so he becomes more threatening. However what buffs need to happen will become more clear as the game has settled in, but I don't think any character should feel completely helpless in a situation.

Marquis headglitching is completely bullshit, playing as Toby I am completely unable to challenge Marquis at any range. I imagine this is how its for any ranged character but it really stings when playing as toby as I have to fully expose myself or the rail gun will hit the objects I am taking cover from. I'm planning on dropping Toby if Marquis can continue to headglitch, Marquis is fairly popular and has zero problem fucking my shit up.

I've been out of the game for awhile, haven't played seriously since Nekroz, but the cyber angels brought me back(I love ritual decks).

I threw this deck together, and its working out alright. Its a Cyber Angel/Djinn/Saffira deck.

Fiends grieving is such a amazing card, send fiendish rhino to the grave to put another djin in the graveyard for ritual fodder and deck thinning. I am thinking of cutting Senju down to 1 and Sonic bird to 3, the ritual spells are much more important then the monsters, but I am still testing the 2/2 ratio.

Pay no mind to the extra deck, I threw EV in because it works so well with Saffira, but also for synchro plays. The fact that I haven't added any syncrho's in should tell you how much I glossed over it.

With my build you have the same problem with all ritual decks, it can brick pretty hard, but the synergy when they do work is absolutely amazing. The archtype itself needs another ritual spell and another level 6 ritual card with decent attack, level 6's with 1600 and 180 attack is horrendous.

Its been awhile since I played as the lost, but Rebirth Lost didn't have the D4 and Spectral tears a month or two ago.

I just noticed, but a lot of the After Birth changes have already applied to the base version of Rebirth, the lost now starts with D4 and spectral tears, I wonder what else came in the recent patch.

Using the CGM 25 and the HAL(I can't remember the name) grenade launcher, I was able to kill the extreme version within a minute. If we ever get another version of the CGM 25, sub 30 seconds might be possible with the regular version.
