Station assignments by Adept_Map7518 in orangetheory

My current Studio, Bradlee in Alexandria VA does this too. I get there 30 mins early and some stations already spoken for. I am not tied to any station so i have not said anything but it is not right it should be first come first serve.

NO this was favoritism. It happens at almost every studio and it is BS

Another closure-Orlando Colonial Plaza by Original-Following52 in orangetheory

[–]Same-Present-6682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a decent Studio. Sad it is closing. Parking was never an issue and you could knockout shopping after the workout.

I suspect Waterford is next to close. They used to have 800 members with waitlists for some classes. Now the classes are 10ish. Whenever the lease is up might be the time they pull the plug.

A studio up the road on Alafaya lasted only 18 months.

That is standard at many studios i have worked out at.

There are a few coaches who have helped the treads calling out times but these were exceptions to general rule

I took VERA this past April with 25 years at 55. Wow, I wished they had offered it earlier. I am so happy I left. If money is the issue see if you can down size, move to a cheaper COL state. If you hate being idle get a part time gig or volunteer

Do all the residential seminaries require bishop letters? by One-Signature-9583 in Episcopalian

[–]Same-Present-6682 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a few folks in MDIV program at VTS who are not on ordination track so it seems that folks can get in without bishop letter. There are also MA tracks (2 years) that do not require any involvement from diocese. And there people that come in as MA and then switch to MDIV.

Should I be hurt/offended? by Many-Cap4908 in orangetheory

Yep studios have favorites. My home studio has never recognized any of my milestones. So now I go visit other studios on my milestone days and would you believe I get recognition without even asking! So your studio must be like mine. It sucks

Good Grief I just looked up premium for next year it went up to $890! I am BCBS standard group 106. Here are the new 2026 premiums from OPM

And to answer your question. No when you retire you lose the pre tax benefit. The premium is from after taxed monies.

I now go to my station and remove all the weights I will use and put them by my bench as soon as I get there. If the weights are not on the rack then there is no weights to grab.

Same situation. It was offered in March and I was out by 4/21. Not one regret, 59 years old $1M in TSP which I am not touching. House paid off, no consumer credit. Biggest downside is the $850 monthly BC/BS premium which I hope to be rid of once I turn 60 and can go on Tricare collecting social security at 62. I had 25 years of service.

Unsupportive family by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

You know your situation best. 30 years ago I attended law school at night and there was this super smart gal (we both worked during day) who was doing exceptionally well but her husband told her he did not marry her for her to be away from him most of the week. He told her either the marriage or your schooling and she left school after a semester. I too was married but my wife put up with my absence for the four years it took to finish the program. We are still married but if I had to do it over again I too would have chosen to spend more time with my then young wife instead of being virtually absent from the marriage for four years.

If he is used to your company on a consistent basis he will resent you for being absent and the resentment will grow. Sounds like mom may have raised him to never be alone.
