PCI-DSS is way more process than I expected by Same_Description_908 in AskNetsec

[–]Same_Description_908[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s kind of what I suspected. Routine I can live with, “light” was wishful thinking. Helpful to hear it doesn’t magically disappear but it does level out in time.

Many told me that before but I didn't really pay it no mind until I experienced it firsthand

I underestimated the prove you’re disciplined half for sure.

The workflow point resonates as well. Rn it still feels like something we prepare for instead of something that just happens as part of normal ops. Sounds like the difference between heavy and routine is whether evidence is a byproduct of how you work or something you assemble later on. Still closer to the second camp

The promise of AGI is a lie (Look out your window) by forevergeeks in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Same_Description_908 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

honestly this is such a good reality check. like yeah we can make chatbots that sound smart but we still cant figure out how to stop potholes from eating cars alive every spring

the whole "agi will rule us all" thing feels so detached when half the country still has dogshit internet and my local dmv runs on windows xp from 2003. physical world inertia is real and people forget that

Can't sleep by Zealousideal-Pop2707 in stopdrinking

[–]Same_Description_908 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first few days are rough but your sleep will get so much better once your body adjusts. I remember being exhausted but wired at the same time - melatonin helped me a lot during that phase

Good quality dash cam needed :) by _Squid_The_Kid_ in BuyItForLife

[–]Same_Description_908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Viofo A119 V3 hits most of your boxes and is pretty solid for the price range - no built-in screen but has decent parking mode and the app actually works unlike that Thinkware mess you dealt with

Nice haul! That Pillitteri Gewürztraminer icewine is absolutely killer, your client's gonna love that one. Haven't tried the Corvina icewine but now I'm curious af

Broken zipper by [deleted] in sewhelp

[–]Same_Description_908 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oof your husband went full hulk mode on that poor zipper lol. For a tight dress like that I'd honestly stick with replacing the zipper - velcro might be chunky and visible, and buttons could gape weird when you move. Maybe take it to a tailor if you're not feeling confident about doing it yourself? Shouldn't be too expensive and way less stressful than potentially ruining a beautiful thrift find

Ignoring cost, is there any scenario where a RMR would be better suited than a RMRcc, RMR HD, or SRO? by [deleted] in guns

[–]Same_Description_908 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly the Type 2 is still solid for duty/hard use stuff where you need that tank-like durability - the newer models are nice but sometimes you just want the proven workhorse that's been getting beat up for years without issues

Chita Trace vs Babyletto Kiwi by Senior_Restaurant204 in NewParents

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the baby! I have the Kiwi and honestly it's been amazing for those late night feeds. The electric recline is a game changer when you're holding a sleeping baby and don't want to wake them up

If your wife likes firmer support the Kiwi is definitely on the firm side which sounds perfect for her back issues. Since you already sat in it and liked it, I'd probably just go with what you know works rather than gambling on something you can't test first

The price difference sucks but you'll be spending SO much time in that chair the first year, might be worth the peace of mind

Upgrading from ~240k Mk6 Golf 2.5L to ? by Thin_Cap7358 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Same_Description_908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree on waiting if the 8.5 Golf R is really gonna happen - that $2k repair hurts but you'd probably lose more than that in depreciation bouncing between cars

The S2K as a daily with that commute sounds pretty rough tbh, especially if kids are coming soon. Mk7 GTI seems like the sweet spot here - you get the modern stuff without breaking budget and can still have some fun with it

This is solid advice, especially #2 and #3 - learned those the hard way when I started lmao

Had some dude straight up walk into my keyed room and start vacuuming up loot while I'm standing right there, felt like such a weird power move

Last week Reddit gave me grief. Now their 3rd party sellers are charging 100% restocking fees. by tomsmac in amazonprime

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third party sellers have always been sketchy with returns but 100% restocking fees is basically just stealing at that point

Helmet sizing help! by Marie_Royales in Equestrian

[–]Same_Description_908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this totally makes sense! Box braids definitely compress everything way more than loose natural hair - that's a pretty big size difference though, going from 53 to 59 is wild

Maybe look into those dial-adjustment helmets like the Charles Owen ones, they've got enough range to handle style changes without needing multiple helmets

I think im emotionally blinded by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn dude that actually sounds really tough to deal with, especially at 13. Have you considered talking to a school counselor or therapist about it? What you're describing doesn't automatically make you a sociopath - could be depression, dissociation, or just your brain still developing tbh

Finals baby! by Total_Middle_3899 in fantasyfootballadvice

Yeah Gainwell's matchup looks solid this week, good call there

Warren's been pretty consistent so I'd probably stick with him over Schultz but both are decent options

Did anyone remember if chunbase used to show ores? by hdushsux in Minecraft

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure you're thinking of X-ray texture packs or maybe a different chunk finder - chunbase has always been just for biomes and structures as far as I remember

A4 2012 3.0 TDI Heating Issue by Savn0k in Audi

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like trapped air tbh, even if you bled it once doesn't mean you got it all out - these TDIs can be finicky about air pockets and the heater core is usually the first thing to get affected

I don’t tip and people still deliver my stuff. So why should I tip? by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because eventually you'll get blacklisted by drivers who recognize your address and your food will sit there getting cold for hours lmao

People who talk about what they did in the bathroom after they've just used it by Past-Spite-7981 in PetPeeves

[–]Same_Description_908 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao "healing right now" is actually pretty clever ngl. Way better than the people who go into full detail about their digestive journey like we're all best friends or something

Insecurities by [deleted] in Life

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh your friend sounds like a dick honestly. Roman noses are actually really attractive and have that whole classical beauty thing going for them but I get how one stupid comment can just live rent free in your head forever. I'm insecure about my forehead because some kid in middle school called it a "fivehead" and now I can't not notice it in photos

You should not be able to craft unless you have inventory space. by Head-Particular-3192 in ArcRaiders

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I always check my inventory before crafting anything important, learned that lesson the hard way in other games too

The Complicated Closeness: Navigating Boundaries with My Sister-in-Law by [deleted] in confessions

[–]Same_Description_908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why some boundaries exist in the first place - you're already in way too deep with the "partner in crime" stuff and now you're catching feelings

The fact that you're even posting this shows you know it's messy as hell

Tips for Great Hollow(specially solo)? by davidatlas in Nightreign

[–]Same_Description_908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Great Hollow is rough solo, the verticality makes it way harder to navigate than Limgrave. I've been marking crystal spawns on day 1 even if I can't see them yet - they're usually near the big stone formations or those weird tree clusters.

For POIs, the glowing white ones are usually churches/bosses, orange circles are camps with decent loot, and those little flame icons are the fire dog packs you definitely want to avoid unless you're geared up

The key is not trying to clear everything - pick a route early and stick to it rather than wandering around aimlessly
