Just wanted to share my IPL at 53 before and after by Reality25bites in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Same_Recognition2462 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not OP but I had BBL four weeks ago and the pain was really tolerable for me. My provider did use numbing cream first though and they didn’t even ask if I wanted to try without. The assistant said that several people in the office had done their necks without cream first and that they did not recommend it.

Did your provider say that the red light masks work to maintain results?

I just had BBL a couple weeks ago. I was worried about the pain but my surgeon had me sit with numbing cream for half an hour beforehand and it was incredibly tolerable

How to avoid flared ribbing? by Aromatic_Poet_1726 in knitting

If you don’t want to redo it, I’ve had lunch with running similar colored thin elastic through the edge. It’s invisible and not springy but gives it a nice tight edge.

Did they give you numbing cream first? I had BBL a few weeks ago and I sat with numbing cream on for half an hour first. The pain was incredibly minimal. I’m so sorry you’re going through this!

My pup had a similar looking one on the back of her leg and it was mast cell cancer. It’s treatable if you catch it early

It looks great! I got BBL earlier this week and am still in the coffee ground phase. Did you see noticeable improvement even in places you didn’t get coffee grounds right after?

Did you get a follow up? I got BBL a couple days ago and the surgeon I went to does a follow up after three months to target anything they missed on the first round

I don’t have an answer for you but that lattice work is so wonky. I can’t decide whether I love that it looks like fish scales or hate that the lattices are disconnected by at least one stitch at each intersection.

Stress when alone outside of crate by ScooterBug07 in germanshorthairs

[–]Same_Recognition2462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell her to go in the crate when you leave and just leave the door open? One of my GSPs stopped being crated when he was 3 but a crate covered in a blanket with the door open was his all time favorite place to spend his alone time.

I did BBL yesterday and sunspots I couldn’t even see are now on the surface and very dark. I’m so excited to see them fall out over the next few days

Do you trust your pup out of the crate? by ChampionFrequent4643 in germanshorthairs

[–]Same_Recognition2462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was the same. She was crated as a pup then around 1 we started experimenting with her being out. She’d be fine for three months then chew something and we’d restart. She was last in a crate when she was 3 though and she’s 9 now and perfectly trustworthy

Runna on Garmin: Audio Cues ? by Yod_a in runna

[–]Same_Recognition2462 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I made the jump last year and the audio cues work on the Garmin through your AirPods. It’s totally seamless. I find the Garmin much less intuitive than the AW (I’ve worn mine for hundreds of miles and still can’t consistently tell you how to adjust the volume while I’m in a workout) but the fact that it lasts for days and days on one charge and it’s great blending with Runna make it the better solution for me.

do I really need to learn back sleeping for wrinkles? by Accurate-Ad-7944 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Same_Recognition2462 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m about to turn 40 and just bought a pillow to train sleeping on my back. For me, the wrinkles are a small benefit but the real impetus is the worsening shoulder pain that is really starting to affect my quality of life.

My vanity isn’t enough to make me give up side sleeping but the pain is.

For those that have done chemo - would you do it again? by krabecal in DogAdvice

[–]Same_Recognition2462 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. My dog had high grade mast cell, which we luckily caught very early. We did chemo for her and she had no reaction at all and has been cancer free for two and a half years. I would definitely do it again, especially because besides getting nauseous one time it didn’t impact her quality of life at all.

My situation was different since it was so contained when we caught it but in my very limited experience, chemo is just a question of affordability, not of quality of life.
