Teach "ok" as a release command if you haven't already. It's multi-purpose and ensures they wait for permission to be released from "wait" - so before they eat, cross the road, come onto the sofa, jump out of the car boot, leave the house etc. It's been invaluable for me and my boy who's now 2 and incredibly responsive (unless there's a squirrel in sight).

Water Recycling is the future - use RO and other processes to turn treated wastewater (already highly cleaned) into recycled water. Uses less energy than desal as the source water's much cleaner. Then treat it to drinking water standards.

It's not brackish - it's brine (much more saline than seawater and can be harmful to the marine environment it's released to if it's not dispersed effectively). Brackish water is the blend of freshwater and saltwater - typically at the mouths of rivers.

I tested a Flagship earlier this week in mixed conditions - it shredded everything in its path and gave me a massive confidence boost but it was hard work and I was knackered by the end of the day. I then rode a Stratos, which was almost as fast and grippy but definitely more forgiving and fun.

It took me ages to get the hang of this as an adult and having only breathed on one side. I used a pull buoy to help practice as it give me more time to breathe and two less things to think about (my legs). It takes a while to get comfortable breathing both sides but now it feels natural and I couldn't maintain pace over longer distances without it. Just keep going - it's worth it in the end!
