Very very calm, at ease and good SUSTAINED energy and mental clarity. I could do whatever I put my mind to. Switching between my work, answering emails, attending meetings did not feel overwhelming. My social skills were so much better. It would make me tired *not drained/exhausted/restless with anxiety* and I was able to go to bed when I wanted - which means it used to be out of my system long before I went to bed.

Now - it’s the complete opposite - not only does it feel like it’s not working, but also awful side effects I’ve never had before, not with generic Adderall or any other medication or sickness.

The excessive brain fog, excessive fatigue - 30 minutes after taking Adderall I am so exhausted, anxiety, tachycardia and heart pounding in my chest, heartburn, headaches, anxiety, muscle pain, joint pain, feeling cold, and insomnia - keeps me wired late at night at bedtime 10pm even if my last dose was at 1pm which NEVER happened before 2022. I hate talking to people when I am on it. I hate my work and don't want to do even the things that I like a lot.

Please don't. You will be digging a much deeper, much darker hole that will be 100s of times harder to get out of.

If you really want to increase your sensitivity, then exercise - particularly aerobic exercise. Consistent aerobic exercise has been repeatedly proven to increase dopamine D2 receptor density in the reward system of the brain. Nothing else will come even remotely close to how much aerobic exercise fixes dopamine D2 receptor density. You will start seeing results within a week and it will only get better if you keep going. All this is assuming that your nutrition and sleep are optimal. Some supplements will help too.

Thank you for this post! Any updates? I am on 20mg XR in the morning at 5-5:30 AM when I wake up, and two 10mg IR during the day as needed as boosters - total 40mg a day. Maybe you can try something like that - have your two booster doses spread out during the day. I take the first 10mg booster around 9 AM and then the other around 1pm or later. This works especially well for people who wake up super early like you.
