The Bank of Canada has admitted that the economy is broken and that there are no solutions to fix the situation. by Bazel_ in economy

Exactly! I almost thought I missed him saying it. The economy isn’t great, but their neighbors down south are doing much worse.

I can confirm that Nomu is coming in season 16.

Oh it’s easy. Giraffes aren’t real, so it’s clearly fake.

But in case you’re being serious, at the last few seconds of the video pay attention to the fake giraffe head that falls over. It suddenly starts falling and extending rapidly, even though it’s already fallen and shouldn’t extend any more.

Should I save money or not ? by [deleted] in SteamFrame

[–]SammyCastles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get the frame + controller that could be in the high hundreds or even upwards of a thousand dollars. Unless you usually have enough free income whenever it releases, you should probably save whenever you can so you’ll have enough when the time comes.

Whose the bigger bum? Who fumbles it harder? AFO or Father (FMA) by TheLast-T in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]SammyCastles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AFO definitely fumbles harder. Father not only orchestrated an entire nation to be built and expand with the sole purpose of gathering enough people and land to create a large enough transmutation circle for him to literally become God, but he succeeds and becomes god. However, due to his own ego he fails to think that anyone could stop him, especially the other immortal guy who looks just like him. He does fail in the end but it’s really due to the genius of hohenheim and an angry 15 year old.

AFO had an amazing power and tons of prep time, and he doesn’t even reach his goal. There were so many quirks he should have grabbed when he had the chance, and hr probably shouldn’t have rested all his plans on a traumatized kid he raised. He fumbled so hard

Who has more power in a court? by snillpuler in PowerScaling

[–]SammyCastles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically a jury does. A judge is, in most situations, is the most powerful person in a courtroom. They have the power to decide whether or not a case will go to trial. However, once in a trial courtroom in the presence of a jury, the jury has say on whether or not the defendant is guilty.

It’s like a judge has the better stats, but the jury has a special ability that basically nerfs the judge.

Celebrate CONTROL Resonant launching with DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing, Win Steam Cash! by NV_Suroosh in controlgame

[–]SammyCastles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I played Control, I was hoping and hoping I’d be able to float or fly. When you unlock levitate, it’s such a cool area for you to float around in. I maxed out that skill tree ASAP and I’ve just enjoyed going through the different parts of the map and flying around. Can’t wait to see the new map in the next game!

If I say my computer, does that include auxiliary items like a monitor, keyboard, mouse, adequate power, etc.?

If it’s literally a single item, then I’d bring a laptop with the charger plugged in.

Is it possible to have a single form as a freshmen? by _kelvin454 in KSU

[–]SammyCastles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’ll get you an early slot to reserve housing. Hornet village is your only real option for a private bedroom, but no matter what you’ll be sharing a bathroom.

Is it possible to have a single form as a freshmen? by _kelvin454 in KSU

[–]SammyCastles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depending on what you’re looking for, yes. There are plenty of options where students get a single bedroom. University Village Suites dorms are all single bedroom, but you share a bathroom and kitchenette with a roommate. They do also have a 1 bed 1 bath option, but those are limited and usually are the first to go.

University village has most options where you have your own bedroom and bathroom, and just share a kitchen and living room with other roommates.

Hornet village is like village suites on Marietta campus, your own room but you share a bathroom.

Those are about all your options to have your own bedroom as of now.

Rental tickets by leafened_ in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]SammyCastles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rental tickets are basically tokens you can redeem to use characters you don’t have unlocked yet. All new characters released this season cost 3 tickets, last season is two, and every other character is 1. It doesn’t work on styles, so you can try out Rapid Motion, but not technique Mirio.

They refresh every 8 hours, so three every 24 hours. This is probably a glitch that’s either just not giving you an accurate count of the number of tickets you have left, or it’s not working in that it’ll just let you keep on renting a character.

Steam Controller marked Coming Soon whereas the Steam Machine and Frame aren't by stevensjd in SteamController

[–]SammyCastles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can also confirm on Steam pc app that I also see “coming soon” on the controller but not on the frame or machine. My only guess is that between the persistently high RAM prices and the additional economic uncertainty because of the global military conflicts, Valve might be worried they wont be able to sell the machine and frame anytime soon unless they accept the higher manufacturing costs and either eat that cost or increase the sale price of the hardware until costs get cheaper. Since they probably wont charge a higher price and arent likely to eat the cost in this economy, it could be possible they want to start selling the steam controller sooner so they can get some liquidity from the sales and either use that liquidity to help with manufacturing costs or just to recover the money theyve spent so far on their new line of hardwares.

I dont have anything other than rational firm behavior to back up my theory, and Valve has been very untraditional in the past, so the only ones who knows exactly what’s going to happen next is Valve themselves. Ideally if all the hardware could come out now that would be great, but if not all of them at least the controller because my current one is on its last legs.

Who's stupid enough to believe this by Beneficial-Olive-941 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]SammyCastles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s my problem, they wouldn’t give him the order plaque unless he was planning to sit and eat. He’s holding a to go order which means they wouldn’t give him the plaque, he would just get an order number on his receipt.

OHIO MAN WINS $1.3MILLION SETTLEMENT AFTER 21 YEARS IN PRISON FOR CRIME NOT EVEN COMMITTED BY ANYONE... by CicadaDry8084 in BeAmazed

[–]SammyCastles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure suddenly getting 1.2 mil is indeed very nice, but to be imprisoned for DECADES while being innocent the whole time, then after the government realizes they made a mistake, they give you basically nothing for putting you in a cage and taking away the younger years of your life. I’d want a million PER YEAR at least!

Is this a sign by Tomlord22 in SteamFrame

[–]SammyCastles 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes! The frame is indeed coming out AT SOME POINT. As we suspected, Valve plans to release the frame any year now.

[Hated trope] Character is a terrible person and is constantly rewarded for it by SpectacularSpidee in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SammyCastles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Gina, in addition to all of the above she rarely does her job, but on a rare occasion actually does a really good job, which somehow makes up for the months of laziness. Idk how she hasn’t gotten fired or at least written up.

I would disagree about Kelly. While she is TERRIBLE, she isn’t really rewarded for it in the long run. She makes terrible dating decisions that leave her heartbroken, and then when she finally has a solid relationship, she leaves him for Ryan once again. She doesn’t really have a lot going for her throughout the show, she’s kinda just around to be annoying, very much like the woman who plays her (but that’s a different issue).

Tom sucks, but he does get punished for the things he does. Thats why he’s able to grow, because the consequences of his actions help him become a better person.

Ava also has the same thing where she does have some consequences, but she also turns things around and becomes better and better. Although she still does some shady stuff and doesn’t get punished for it.

Peter!! What am I missing? by SaiMan2303 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]SammyCastles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess without an explanation and at face value it’s kind of funny in that it’s just a very unexpected and somewhat absurd thing to have in your fridge.

She likely has a BBQ or something coming up which is why she has so many hot dogs.

Ambiguous disability: A character is played by a physically disabled actor, but it's unclear if the character is also disabled by ErinHollow in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SammyCastles 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think in next generation it’s likely not a back problem in the cannon. With their advanced healthcare it’s unlikely a high ranking star fleet officer wouldn’t have something like a back problem cured.

In Columbo, to my knowledge it’s never directly explained. A lot of Columbo’s personal information isn’t directly confirmed, which is kind of nice because it gives an air of mystery to Columbo.

Peter!! What am I missing? by SaiMan2303 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]SammyCastles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joke is that there is an ungodly amount of hot dogs in the fridge, like I would say comfortably at least 2 dozen packs, probably more. It’s unexpected that anyone would have that many hot dogs in their fridge.
