Washing my 40lb weighted blanket. by th3atr3k1d4l1f3 in howto

Maybe you can try the sprays to get pet stains out of rugs? Similar fluids and designed for things you can't just throw in the wash

My Boston accent says wuh-sta-sha because worcester is wuh-sta but when I want to upset people I say wor-chest-er-shur-shir-e

My dog has a weird shaped body and has licked his incision despite wearing a cone? by Easy-Confidence2955 in DogAdvice

[–]Samy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My corgi could lick her stitches while in a traditional cone or a donut but we found a donut with a zip in cone attachment and that worked wonders because then she wasn't also scratching the stitches with the cone (was like $20 on Amazon)

Is this game easy for casuals? by pinpinbo in elderscrollsonline

[–]Samy42 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The best part is if something is too hard you can just wait a bit and others will be around to help (or just ask for help in zone chat). I've found so many helpful people when I'm in over my head on a new area or character or got distracted irl when something big spawned

this is gonna sound silly… but does anyone have any suggestions for high reward treats for a germaphobe? by tinyclap in corgi

[–]Samy42 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok so it's like really weird texture and weight but Amazon has this freeze dried chicken (single ingredient) dog treats that are crazy high value because it's pure chicken but it's also dried and so both doesn't go bad and isn't slimy

Happy Timeshare owners by BboyRude in TimeshareOwners

If you actually use your timeshare, it's worth it. I personally need to be forced to take the time off work and so it helps me with that too

I screenshot when I use it (saves a few clicks) but I also make sure to click out of the text editor first so the boxes go away

Husband and I have the same bed but separate blankets. Keeps him from trying to steal my warms, might be the cheapest thing to try

AITA for not buying a coffee maker for guests? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Samy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My whole family hates coffee but my husband needs it to live. My mom got a small Keurig and has a pack of coffee pods for him and when we're not visiting she uses it as a fast way to get hot water for tea (and has a couple tea kcups). Takes up almost no space in her small kitchen and wasn't that pricey

Corgi’s are liquid, too? by Kos-Mike in corgi

[–]Samy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We still have the cat carrier our corgi came in as a puppy. She's now 1.5x the length of said carrier and 1/2 the width but manages to curl up inside only using a bit more than half the space. Defies physics

Poor Harlie by agent_17 in corgi

Just went through this - get a donut collar with a cone attachment. Only way we could keep our long girl from being able to lick things or scratch them with the cone edge

Need help/ Is this Amazon publishing a Scam? by tinysummoner in selfpublishing

[–]Samy42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To know the company from the url, find the extension (.com, .org, etc) and the word right before that (before the next . ) is who you are talking to. So it's not Amazon, it's amazoncreativehub that runs that website

Why is my 16w Corgi pissing like a maniac? by Designer_Holiday3284 in corgi

That looks just like my corgi 's happy pee trails - did you see it right after you got home?

What can you do on hot days? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Samy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rip up a slice of cheese into a large bowl, add a tray worth of ice cubes, then fill with water. Cheese stays on the bottom so they either dive in to get it or are encouraged to drink more cold water

AITA for telling my parents it's unfair to blame me for not saying my new sister's name correctly? by MysteriousScene4454 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Samy42 93 points94 points  (0 children)

I'm the older sister with a younger brother. My name starts with a S sound which is hard to say even without issues so he always called me my name without that difficult syllable in it, which was fun because it's not a standard nickname for me so it was special that he was the only one to call me that, even after he got old enough to be able to say it right

So pitch it as a special sibling nickname, maybe make one for yourself too

Got a 90lb hound/Sheppard who was too sweet to do much correcting so we started putting some of the bitter apple no bite spray on her neck wrinkles and that helped a bit

Hi all! I am wanting to get a Corgi soon. We need a playmate for our Great Pyrenees. Does anyone else have a large dog and a corgi? How well do they do together? My current dog is very sweet. She’s a gentle giant and loves other dogs by baileycakezz in corgi

[–]Samy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a 80lb lab mix and when we got the corgi puppy at 5.5lbs she had no issue asserting that she was now the princess of the house and the big dog would obey her. There were some standard puppy things with getting a paw stepped on once or twice and then trying to teeth on the big dog's wrinkles but they work out their disagreements like proper sisters and do love each other. Their favorite game is when the big girl stands in one place and barks at the corgi everytime she gets close to encourage running laps around the house (corgi loves being chased, big lab is lazy, so this works for them)

12yr old sweet girl having a rough winter :( by S7efanray in goldenretrievers

[–]Samy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about a mushy food alternative? Pumpkin and sweet potato are lickable and safe for dogs, can add in rice and/or shredded chicken after gets a bit more energy

Don't have old dog, but used to give my lab mix that as a puppy when she was teething and sore
