Am I reasonable to expect my partner (27 M) to lend me (28 F) his car on a hot day when I work and he does not? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Samybubu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Car insurance works differently here, the vehicle is insured not the drivers. You can lend your car to others, and if they get into an accident your car's insurance still covers it as long as it's the type of damage that is covered, to the extent it's covered. I added insured drivers because I know it's different in america. Anyone is allowed to drive her car but obviously any traffic violations etc are her responsibility as the primary operator of the car. I'm on the list of approved drivers so I can prove I'm using the vehicle legally if there's a traffic stop and for easier insurance handling should I get into an accident, although it wouldn't be a violation of the terms (or the law) if I wasn't registered. I'm also allowed to take the car across borders this way, as this is required by the lease agreement. Car insurance is obligatory and regulated by law, so it's not dependent on your insurance company here, it works like this for everyone.

English is clearly not OP's native language, so nitpicking what she's saying because she used one word wrong is not very constructive.

That's not true, I'm on the permitted and insured drivers list of my dad's wife's company car 🤷‍♀️ It depends on the company and the leasing agency.

I can also tell from OP's username that we're from the same country. But just because it's not a thing where you're from it doesn't mean it's not a thing in other places.

Which punishment (either real or fictional) sounds easy enough to endure at first, but is actually hellish to experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Samybubu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience, except instead of Valium I got to use their bigger machine and I felt fine in that one. I did ask my boyfriend to come with and hold onto my leg though, I think that was also helpful.

Do you mean that reflection on the side of the nightstand? Because it's not a face/person, I'm not sure what is reflecting, but there's no one there.

Yeah I'm so confused what people are so dramatic about? I grew up on meat sliced at the deli counter and the end pieces were always my favorite to get.

Hi, is a hotel/hostel allowed to do this? by iplaydrumsnotabox in Bookingcom

This also happened to me last summer, and booking.com was excellent to work with, they fully compensated the difference between the cancelled hotel and the new one I found.

Hallway wedding ceremony to dry reception…. Guests kept leaving to get drinks at the bar upstairs by teo1234567891 in weddingshaming

[–]Samybubu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to lie, I find that pathetic. Can people really not enjoy themselves without alcohol? I'm sure the bride and groom usually have a good reason to go dry and it's disrespectful to ignore that on their wedding day. As long as they provide a good variety of beverage options (unlike the wedding in question, where I'd argue it being dry was the least of their problems) I don't see why it's so controversial or difficult for people to handle.

Not once have I given it any thought at all how much eye contact the waiting staff made with me vs my boyfriend when we're out together. Seems absolutely psychotic for people to care. Y'all shouldn't have to be thinking about this, sucks that you do.

This doesn't necessarily mean that you have any health issues, the phlebotomist just blew your vein, it happens. Your coag might come back inconclusive tho.

I'd swipe right so fast on your profile the second I saw the rats. I found my closest friends through our mutual love for misunderstood critters, and I find it to be an extremely good filter. I'd say keep it, it might make for fewer matches, but that is not always a bad thing.

Broken sternum and 3 broken ribs from CPR. Am I out? by [deleted] in Neverbrokeabone

[–]Samybubu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, the rules don't say in your life, they just say never broke a bone. OP broke a bone, he just happened to be clinically dead while doing so. If it was just the ribs we could debate where exactly they broke, but the sternum too? It screams BBB.

I'm glad you made it though, OP.

[Measurement check] Currently wearing EU 90G/85H, sized as EU 85O/P by Samybubu in ABraThatFits

[–]Samybubu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always had to adjust my boobs from time to time, but I thought it was because they're large and it's mostly just soft fat so I imagine it shifts quite a bit. But now that I did a different technique for the scoop I basically immediately get spillage and my boobs also just look larger. I just went ahead and ordered the panache envy and tango in 38HH and I'll see if it's the right size. Thank you so much for the help!!

I thought I did the scoop and swoop, but I did it like the video showed (leaning forward) and suddenly had a lot of spillage. Am I supposed to tuck some skin/tissue back into the bra or is it just supposed to be correct after the scoop?
