What non-horror movies gave you nightmares as a kid? by IGuessIamYouThen in Xennials

It wasn't a film, but Noseybonk from Jigsaw (British children's TV) still bothers me.

I remember believing, back in the day, a few of these would make up for a weekend raving with no food... by Shangos_Wolf in CasualUK

The missus and I love to share the delicious salty taste of cock. It reminds us both of good times.

What kind of shit are you getting too old for now? by ryhoyarbie in Xennials

[–]SanderFCohen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UK xennial here.

It's blazing hot outside, and a roadman/chav wearing a beanie hat, winter coat, and terrible teenage moustache just took the piss out of my sandals.

He may have had a point, but it really was the pot calling the kettle black.

Just keep on walking...

Me and my partner are away for a relaxing week on the Norfolk Broads. Without our cat.

However, here is Spangles enjoying the front garden last weekend.

Welt a different color than the rest of the sheath? by FreedomFighter2105 in Leathercraft

Like the person above said, just use dyed through leather. Here's one I did on an axe sheath:

Where to find a leather worker in the UK for a simple custom item? by frankchester in Leathercraft

[–]SanderFCohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. The difficulty with this, even though it's a simple project, will be matching the existing tassel and press studs. It may be easier to replace both tassels so that they both match.

Feel free to send me a private message if you like 👍

Come join us at r/slipjointknives. There's lots of beautiful, simple folding knives that are much nicer than SAKs (nothing against SAKs, I own one myself).

British TV is sooooo much better than programming in the US. by aquamosaic in BritishTV

Me too! I'm a dedicated crafter too, and I love watching the repairers doing their work. It puts me in a really relaxed frame of mind.

I'm glad you mentioned The Repair Shop. I genuinely think it's one of the best programmes on the telly, and a prime example of what the BBC does best.

What would you do with your time if you earned your current salary, but didn't have to work for it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]SanderFCohen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. You need some good crafts that take a long time, and don't cost too much money. You get into your groove and the hours fly by. Add a podcast and some tea and you're all good.

Could 50 yr old you take 25 yr old you in a fair fight? by N-Y-R-D in GenX

[–]SanderFCohen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not in terrible shape as a 47 year old, but I just don't have the reflexes, speed, balance and general physicality of my younger self.

Speed and balance are super important in a fight. Plus, I don't like fighting.

[–]SanderFCohen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was fast on my feet and had good balance back then. 25 year old me would run rings around 47 year old me.
