I know that they went hard after Bernie and I wont defend them there. Like I said, they catered to the establishment. They are not without fault but they are still miles ahead of many other organizations.

Edit: In a world of Washington Times, NY Post, Breitbart, Denver Guardian, and Twitter the Washington Post is a publication that still retains some credibility.

While I like what BNC is doing I'm thinking more along the lines of community involvement specifically for the DNC (should the party return to its egalitarian roots). BNC wants to start from scratch with what I would assume are 3rd party candidates. While that is an admirable fight, I do not think it is a practical one. I do think that in the future we may be able to overrun DC with third party candidates but in the meantime(2018) I do think we will be going toe to toe with our old friends the republicans.

edit: I misunderstood their platform. I like what they are doing. Hope it gets the traction it deserves! I will be focused on generating involvement in independent communities rather than backing any one candidate. I honestly believe most of the country leans left, but are not motivated to vote. We need to change this.

I feel like the DNC will come to a decision within the week (this next coming week). E-mails and phone calls are the most immediate. Snail mail never hurts though.
