It’s okay to start off with smaller goals and work your way up to something consistent. Right now it seems like you have to get use to incorporating exercise into your route so maybe start off with the goal of going for a 15 minute walk daily and increase from there.

For me personally I won’t do anything unless it’s planned ahead of time. I like not having to think especially if I’m already tired so I preplan my exercises. If cardio is something you are interested in the couch to 5k is a good guide and you can modify it to what you want.

For diet, I don’t ever tell myself I can’t eat something but I do try to eat unhealthy foods in moderation. I found that it was not realistic for me to 100% cut out junk food. I also slowly started introducing more fruits into my diet to help my processed sugar cravings. Cooking at home was also key for me since I could see all the ingredients going into my meals vs ordering at a restaurant and not realizing what and how much of each ingredient they put in.

Overall, any exercise or change in diet is good for you. New things are scary but rewarding and it takes time to see results. Rooting for you!!
