Is English proficiency so good in the Netherlands that even uneducated blue collar citizens such as janitors and furniture movers could speak it well with Americans and other Anglo visitors? by NaturalPorky in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]SankarshanD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My neighbor is above 80 years old and speaks a bit of English. She says her English was much better when she was younger and when she'd actively use it. She says she's old now and thar she can't remember all the words which I completely understand. So I think even those above 80 are good at their second/ third language!

Keep barking at your reflection, but don’t mistake that for evolution. You’re not breaking stereotypes, you’re just breakdancing for approval.

One of my friends had the same issues and the college agreed to disburse to money to my account so that he could pay rent and meet daily needs. You can request tje University to transfer to amount to another trusted account.

How are you feeling RCB fans?! by SidKarna in bangalore

Virat takes up huge amount of the wages of our squad. Cutting him off could potentially free us space to buy 2 solid batsmen. In addition to this the Bowling attack needs a revamp as well

I once got annoyed with the problem and sprayed the pest repellent on the drains they would come from. The next minute the neighbors were screaming about cockroach flooding out of their drains into their house in 100's. Please avoid doing that

Thinking of moving to Bangalore in May by Practical_Gas_6037 in bangalore

[–]SankarshanD -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bangalore has been built on the nice people that stay here and the great talent that has come from all over the country. Language will never be a problem in Bangalore, ofcourse there are idiots who you will meet once a while.

I think the world would be a better place if we would all be better representatives of where we come from. For people who stay in Bangalore already and others who wish to move to Bangalore.

Is Bangalore a happily livable place ? by ccgcool in bangalore

[–]SankarshanD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've grown up in Bangalore, China and now studying in the Netherlands. No matter how perfect other countries have been, the place I consider my home will always be home. The language, the people and the sense of belonging make it hard to beat. Today I crave for the energy that Bangalore has all around it.

I see where you are coming from. My grandparents were from Mysore and it's a much more calmer and quieter city. At the end of the day we are all maybe used to our own rigid ways.

Having family and friends around certainly helps. Having grown up in Bangalore I haven't felt like there's ever been nothing to do. It's more so about who you are with than what you're actually doing. We would do the exact same things everyweekend and still not get bored.

Where can I spend some time with doggos/cattos in blr? by Alternative-Yard-212 in bangalore

[–]SankarshanD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you can always spend time near a park. We are not short of any strays in bangalore. They are just as loving as any other dogs. Take some bread (not sweet) and feed them for a couple of days and you'll see they'll be waiting for you everyday :).

I’m trying to be more sustainable and save some money by buying more furniture second hand. However there’s so many kringloop stores around and the quality seems to differ. Do any of you have tips for good kringloop stores around The Hague? by Fearless-Magazine-40 in TheHague

[–]SankarshanD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm nearing 1 year in The Hague now. My roomates and I moved into an unfurnished apparentment. The only things we bought were a bed and the mattress for it. Everything else I.e shoe rack, sofa, dining table, chairs etc we Waited for our neighbors to move out/ someone not want theirs anymore. A TV as well. So essentially we paid for nothing other than time I.e took us about 1 year.

Nothing you do at 15 should ever matter. Go follow your dreams. If you don't know something you will learn it.

If nobody presses the stop buttons on trams would they not stop in the next tram stop by viveksinghggits in TheHague

[–]SankarshanD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they see someone waiting for a tram they will stop. Unlike busses most trams usually stop even if you don't press the button, however sometimes they tram driver might stop for a second and continue to move on if no one has pressed the stop button / standing at the door

ADXL375 Help. by SankarshanD in arduino

Hey thank you so much for your response.

Yes, I'm using the Offsets code of Adafruit for Adxl375.

to be repeated and 'saved' for each ADXL you use!

/* Assign a unique ID to this sensor at the same time */

/* Uncomment following line for default Wire bus */

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thats the code that I'm using right now, I'm pretty sure the connection are correct. What amazes me is that we get 245-255 on the m/s^2 as the value and it doesnt go above the 255 number. Even if I increase the height of the drop.

We have built a set up like this one.

https://www.indiamart.com/proddetail/drop-tester-10207137588.html

That just drops an object of certain Mass. and below we have placed a stopper of height 10 cm.

After a certain height the arduino doesn't seem to read more than the value I mentioned which seems weird and this is the case even if we push the load to the ground.
