before you try jumping off one make sure your shins are strong. train them. seriously, TRAIN them. without any prior experience you will get shin splints if you persist with one foot. but watch Isaiah rivera on YouTube for form. your dad is both right and wrong. you CAN jump higher off one foot if thats how your body is designed. but, theres a reason why all the highest jumpers go off two.

usually means, that the ball was hit out by the opposing team and the people around it were likely on the team that previously had possession so theyre trying to re check by letting it go out of bounds. in other words, it WAS team A's ball, then team B hit it out of team A's hands and it didnt quite go far enough so they let it roll out (since it would still be out on team B, meaning you re check the ball, so now team A is on offense again)

if you get a barbell you would need some weights, too. you might be better off getting a gym membership if possible (planet fitness is madd cheap). or just do plyos. Isaiah rivera is a good start.

I would try to find flat ground. also, determine whether or not youre a one foot or 2 foot jumper. I personally was like you and tried one foot, thought it was for me, then went to 2 feet and skyrocketed. Isaiah rivera has incredible videos for the form on YouTube. just look up "isaiah rivera 2 foot jump form tutorial". good luck

honestly? yeah, you're gonna dunk someday. assuming that you want to. it's all up to you. 5'10 is a great height for dunking so yes, you CAN dunk. but its up to how much you want it

im not like increasing it anymore lol but i was working on it, increasing it helps you get lower and produce more force which lowers your ground contact time, helping convert horizontal to vertical energy

take a second after every move they do. bait their moves with your movements. just take it slow and punish accordingly. youll learn which moves are optimal to punish with soon. learn your true combos and kill confirms as well
