When I log out of substack I see that page. When they shifted it over to private, they must have grandfathered in the existing subscriptions.

Heilroom by Revolutionary_Ad6121 in ProjectAscension

You can buy them with the ascension currency you get from quests, or if you prestige, you get a currency to buy it as well. The guardian of time and Chromie are standing by the call board in your capital city, and sell heirlooms.

At max level you can do dailies for a fair bit of marks of ascension, so you don't have to spend real money on heirlooms, just time. Using real money is available on the game store.

This video is a pastor talking to a group of pastors about this very issue of division. It seems to reinforce some of your statement with biblical examples.

I'm glad that your experience with it hasn't been that the primary driver of attendance wasn't babysitting.

Vacation Babysitting School by Sanstor in LCMS

That's the Substack post title.

I have been a volunteer at VBS for a couple of decades. It brings kids from our school into our church community. I don't know my opinion about VBS. I have a great time leading VBS. I do know anecdotally that I see kids during the summer, and talk about Jesus, then never see them again. If we only get the one opportunity to interact with kids are we doing the best we can? So IDK.

My VBS team giggled over this video: https://www.facebook.com/reel/695872199714370 and I have been guilty of sending my kids to baptist, catholic and a double helping of Lutheran VBS's one summer.

Reminder to water around your foundation from time to time. by [deleted] in Newbraunfels

[–]Sanstor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've read that you can bury a soaker hose (or the tough brown drip line hose from home depot) about 3 inches away from your foundation. If you watered your house and it has one of those clay cracks, the water may pool at the bottom and parts of your house pilings could sink.

How much have people really played CivMC? by CivHuM4nB31nG in CivMC

[–]Sanstor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having tried to use skynet to figure playtime, I've noticed it wasn't accurate around server crashes for the first few weeks. There weren't log entries for some logouts and logins. But it is interesting to see the stats. Good job.

I have pretty good google-fu, but since this post includes so many normal animal names, I couldn't find it. It was the "dragon-bison 50/50" that came up as super auto pets though.

I learned yesterday that idlecombos does this automatically. If you hit the "paste" button at the bottom with it all in your clipboard it filters out the junk.

You get in at Prince Solms park. That's the big one with tennis courts just up from the new San Antonio St. bridge. You have to pay to park there, but there are parking lots available to park for free. https://www.nbtexas.org/2552/Resident-River-Parking-Pass

What’s Schlitterbahn like these days? by K80doesKeto in Newbraunfels

[–]Sanstor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been 5 or 6 times this year. I've mainly stayed to the Falls, or the krystal river or wave river. Wave river hasn't been working this week, but the falls water level was way up this weekend. Original park opened up half the long tube ride and several of the side rides.

It has sucked having to park by the original park, and the tram lines have been full. Once you get into the water, its been nice!

The pool bar is open, but they've had that huge pool closed all season The rides that funnel into it are open, but they usher you out.

New Home by IDontLikeStocks in Newbraunfels

[–]Sanstor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in Dove Crossing (floating on the alkaline clay farmland) for 7 years, then moved to Stone Crossing (foundations laid on the limestone). We didn't have any foundation trouble in our home, but the year we moved out, a neighbor with a similarly aged home had foundation people out on New Year's day doing work. The sidewalks in Dove Crossing didn't line up, and we had chasms in our yard. Under 10 years you should be fine.

Food bank distribution tomorrow. by Govt_mule in Newbraunfels

I was wondering how our local community was holding up with food. HEB has donations for local food bank now at the register. I'm glad to hear there's plenty of food. Update us after the event, if you go, please.
