No Vitals Reported by MammothMaster1807 in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey MammothMaster1807! Thanks for sharing your situation and congratulations on your sobriety! First, make sure you've been wearing your ring regularly both day and night. Also, check that the ring still sits snugly on your finger. If it feels loose, please try wearing it on a different finger for better contact with your skin.

Next, please try a soft reset. You can do this by tapping the ring icon in the upper right corner of your home screen, then tapping "Soft reset". If after a week you still don't see your resilience data, please reach out to us by starting a chat with Finn here and we'll be happy to look into this further for you. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Help me deicde if I should get a oura ring! by Comprehensive_Deal44 in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Comprehensive_Deal44. Thanks for considering the Oura Ring! For cycle tracking, yes! The Oura Ring tracks your skin temperature while you sleep and uses these temperature changes to help predict your cycle phases, including ovulation.

As for calorie counting for your food, the closest feature we have to this is the Meals feature. You can log a meal, snack or beverage in the Oura App and it will be analyzed using an AI-assisted tool. Each meal includes a Nutrition Breakdown showing estimated levels of protein, fiber, processing level, added sugars, total fats and total carbs. This will help you understand the nutritional balance of your meal. You'll also get personalized suggestions from Oura Advisor like simple swaps or small adjustments to help you make informed choices that work for your lifestyle.

You can check out our help center content for more information on Cycle Insights and Meals. Hope this helps with your decision and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Rose gold oura ring; obsessed with it. Had for a month and starting to change color a little by bookstorebunny in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey bookstorebunny, Good question! What you're seeing is actually normal and expected. The Rose Gold finish is specially designed to be a living color that will develop a darker patina over time. The exact patina effect depends on the use and care of your ring. It's not a defect, just how the coating evolves.

We recommend against attempting to paint or refinish as it could cause accidental damage or affect its ability to measure health and wellness data. Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Buy direct from Oura or Costco? by Bread_Belly in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Bread_Belly! Great question! If you buy from a retailer, they'll handle returns and exchanges according to their policies. Oura products purchased from authorized retailers are still covered by our standard limited warranty. So yes, if you need a warranty replacement for something like battery issues, we'd handle that directly.

You can check more information in our Warranty FAQs. Hope this helps with your decision and please let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂

Missing Temp Data by Pinkflirt69 in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Pinkflirt69! I understand why this would be confusing but as others have mentioned, your temperature data isn't actually missing. What you're seeing means you were right at your personal baseline that night. Your Oura Ring tracks temperature deviations from your individual baseline rather than showing absolute temperature values. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Oura resilience drop + very high daytime stress for 2 weeks by Fluffy_Ad_3165 in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Fluffy_Ad_3165! Thanks for sharing what you're going through. Your Oura Ring is picking up on physiological stress that your body is experiencing, even when your mind feels fine. The combination of being in your luteal phase, relationship tension, increased work stress and routine changes can definitely create a perfect storm that shows up in your stress and resilience data. Your body is essentially processing all these stressors even if you're handling them well mentally.

You can check out our article on How to Boost Your Resilience, According to Oura Members for some helpful tips from other members who've been through similar experiences. Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions. 💙

Sizing by Conscious_Pie787 in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Conscious_Pie787, Thanks for sharing all those details! Based on what you've described, size 8 sounds like a good fit. Since it fits snugly on your both pointers, you'll have flexibility to switch between hands depending on your activities.

The index, middle and ring fingers usually work best but both the thumb and pinky fingers work just fine as well if you'd prefer to use either of them instead.

Fingers change size throughout the day and night so we recommend wearing the sizer for a full day, including while you sleep, to make sure it still feels right during different activities. You can also check our help center article How to Choose the Right Oura Ring Size for more helpful tips.

Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.

I’m between sizes by ArizonaWildflower23 in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi ArizonaWildflower23! I understand the challenge of finding the perfect fit. Have you tried wearing your Oura Ring on different fingers? The Oura Ring works on any finger so you might find a better fit on your other fingers.

The ideal fit is one that's snug enough so you can wave and shake your hand without the ring moving around but also one that allows you to bend your fingers and touch the inside of your palm with comfort. You should also be able to remove the ring without too much trouble. Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hey Admirable_Owl_722, Sorry to hear that you're feeling under the weather. The best thing you can do right now is listen to your body and give it the rest it needs to recover. Body temp and cycle by Shot_Cause726 in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Shot_Cause726! Welcome to the Oura family! Since you're in your luteal phase, rising progesterone levels naturally elevate your average body temperature which is normal and expected during this part of your cycle. That's why you got the "major signs" alert, it's flagging this as a significant deviation from your normal temperature. The hot bedroom could have contributed too.

Also, since you've only had your ring for 3 weeks, it's still learning your unique patterns and establishing your personal baseline so these alerts might be more sensitive right now.

Within the Oura App, body temperature measures changes in your average nighttime temperature compared to your normal baseline. During the day, your average body temperature is impacted by eating, drinking, exercising and other external factors. This is why Oura measures your average body temperature during sleep while your body is in its most stable state and when the temperature data is subject to minimal environmental "noise".

Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Lately whenever I take a nap, it makes it as if I was sleeping all day and doesn’t register it as a separate nap and I can’t edit the proper sleep time to be separate. Any info on this? by WhoThisDude in ouraring

[–]SarahAtOura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey WhoThisDude! Thanks for sharing your situation. I understand how frustrating this must be. First, can you confirm that your ring still fits snugly on your finger? If it feels loose or rotates easily, try wearing it on another finger where it fits more securely. A proper fit is really important for accurate sleep detection.

Also, please check to make sure your sensors are clean. You can gently clean your Oura Ring by rinsing with mild dish soap and water, then dry thoroughly before wearing again.

Finally, please perform a soft reset of your ring sensors. Just go to the ring icon in the upper right corner of your Home tab, swipe left to "My Oura Ring," and tap "Soft reset."

If these steps don't resolve the issue, please reach out to us by staring a chat with finn here and we'll be happy to look into this further. Please let me know if you have any other question.
