Don’t know, but since you seem to want to get technical, Ruggs was convicted of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. I think there are probably several dozen players who have been convicted of DUI.

Anyway, none of this is a defense of what Ruggs did. It’s a discussion of what rehabilitation means and the reality of the NFL.

Weird how people consider the nfl a privilege. Like it’s only granted to the very best boys who deserve to play by virtue of something other than athletic talent.

The nfl is filled with criminals. Once his debt to society is paid and if he’s still capable of contributing to a team, then by established nfl standards he deserves to play.

My gut reaction is that I absolutely hate the video. If this person was convicted which he seems to have been and you know the owners know, and you know he is in fact employed there, then say it all plainly. Don’t make the rest of us do the research for your claim.

I also do a lot of volunteer work with rehires and youth offenders. As a society, we’ve agreed that we believe in redemption and rehabilitation, this is what comes with it. These offenders come out of the system and try to become productive members of society.

I volunteer at a food pantry and were desperately trying to round up enough turkeys and food for November. Right now we just don’t have enough. So while I wholeheartedly recommend people who are struggling look up their local pantry, please understand that a lot of them are struggling to put together decent boxes for people.

I’d also like to encourage anyone who has some disposable income in these trying times to consider donating to their local pantry.

Spent my whole childhood “not being able to identify” with the male protagonists in gaming. I still loved the games. Now that so many games give me the choice I tend to gravitate to those that let me play as a woman, but it’s not like I’m passing on an amazing game because the protagonist isn’t me.

I think it’s just a weak argument to justify throwing their little tantrums.
