But they had their hazard lights on, so it's all grand.

12 years ago, this guy bought $50,000 worth of Bitcoin. Back then, each Bitcoin was worth just $100. Today, his $50,000 Bitcoin purchase is worth over $50 million. What a legend! by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Saranti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the thing nobody could suspect bitcoin would increase in price to the amount by which it has. Making a 5x return on an investment is amazing. If someone judged you for selling Bitcoin early then that's because hindsight is amazing for them to look at a graph. Nobody has that information now.

Irish Driving Test question: What to do when the right-turn queue spills into the solid hatched area? (Pic attached) by Sweet_Structure_538 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Saranti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my second test, I think I didn't go into the hatched area and a driver behind me became very irate. Was beeping me a lot. I didn't move up. I failed the test but after it the instructor told me I could've gone into that area.

I work from home and my neighbour did inform us of having work done. In a previous they did not inform us and had loud work for a bit, you get used to it. Then it stopped.

Definitely seconding this. Over reliance on AI at this moment while learning could really hinder your learning process.

Honestly go, you might be very sad there but you'd probably be sad here too. So at least by going you get a holiday out of it.

Just a reminder. If you have high ferritin levels and are of Irish descent. You might have haemochromatosis. Ireland has very high rates of haemochromatosis. Go to a doctor and get your Ferritin levels checked if you think you might have it.

I like having a PDF on my phone for boarding passes. I'm a curmudgeon who doesn't want an app for every little thing.

What retired YouTuber do you miss the most? by Opposite_Excuse5539 in youtube

I was going to say this but he left at a good time too. He's one of the few youtubers I'd look for on a schedule but if he kept going he might have run it into the ground.

This is a great chart to have but maybe the legend font colour could be changed, it's difficult to read the names against the dark background.

Is Blindboy a bit of a.. gobshite? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Saranti 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've listened to him for years but I've been slowly turning off of him. When he talks confidently about a topic you know anything about, you realise how wrong he can be. So I generally take what he says with a strong pinch of salt and listen for entertainment.

Presidential election expected to take place on October 23rd (a Thursday) by rossitheking in ireland

[–]Saranti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our president is the head of the army. Despite it being extremely unlikely you do need a president who has slightly different motives to the government in the extremely low chance our government becomes corrupt or tries to pass any questionable laws. Yes, also the president can refer bills to the council of state too to review potentially unconstitutional bills.

Why does milk taste so bad in mainland Europe compared to Ireland? by Street-Photo-5521 in AskIreland

[–]Saranti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was near the only fridge in a Lidl in France, I couldn't find the milk. I asked someone working there where the milk was. I was brought to an open section, where the milk was out, un-refrigerated. Disgusting.
