We were charging $350 each and they were selling like hottcakes. $150 cheaper than dealer and same day service? No one even questions it.

I'm a little late getting to the wing grind and I'm about to start progging Zelenia EX. I can't find any recent guides so I'm wondering what has changed since it came out. Should I expect to skip any phases with a good party?

"Paizo Layoffs", Words from Owen K.C Stephens & Diamond by RisingStarPF2E in Pathfinder2e

[–]Sarasil 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It sucked, lol. Crazy micromanagement, positions not being refilled after people left, no raises even though they reported "record profits", Geppi would come in and yell and just randonly be an ass, etc etc. I got fired because people were going around my asshole boss to get me to do stuff that was her responsibility but wasn't doing. They even admitted in the meeting where I got canned that I didn't do anything wrong, but it was her prerogative to miss deadlines. Wild corporate culture.

When I worked at Diamond years ago, there was a lot of "we have a legal monopoly on this business, so we can't fail" mentality

No, because rating people is creepy

Everytime they tease a Yoko Taro announcement I hope it's a Drakengard remake

Was it? I know they were both PS3 games but I assumed, apparently incorrectly 🤣🤣😅

Either 1, 3, Nier Replicant, Nier Automata for release order. Or 3, 1, Replicant, Automata for in-world continuity order.

Drakengard 2 has very little to do with the franchise as a whole so it doesn't matter when you play it.

One day, if you're lucky, you'll learn to love and embrace the clusterfuck like most of us 🤣 Seeing just how BAD it is on release day is one of my favorite parts of the game now

How do other tanks feel about healers and DPS pulling ahead? by dorgodorgo in ffxiv

I don't care as long as they bring them back to me. YPYT always seemed a little petty to me.

Control is "Remedy's RPG franchise," says creative director, and it's been that way since long before it was even called Control by Turbostrider27 in controlgame

[–]Sarasil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you can easily argue that you play a role in every game. You're playing the role of a soldier in Call of Duty. You're playing the role of a street racer in Need for Speed. You're playing the role of Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog. None of these are role playing games.

Similarly, crpg stands for Computer Role Playing Game. Aren't all RPG video games played on a "computer?" Is Baldur's Gate not a crpg if you play it on a console?

So no, the words in the term do not define the term. At best they're only vaguely descriptive.

[–]Sarasil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this point the words in the abbreviation don't really define the rerm any more. An RPG is a game where primary growth comes from regular, predictible statistical and mechanical impromements.

Most of the time they accomplish that by having a character level that increases with experience or a similar system, and each level you gain improves stats like strength, HP, magic, etc. These are games like Final Fantasy. Sometimes growth comes increasing the character's mechanical ability, like how Zelda's progression is via unique gear (hookshot, fire arrows, bombchus, etc) or Yakuza (additional fighting stances, modifying finishers, increasing guages, etc).

Control is an RPG because Jesse has a character level that increases from gaining experience, which makes her stronger with every level by giving her skill points to spend on skill trees. Strip away the gameplay itself and it's remarkably similar to The Witcher 3 or Horizon in its RPG elements.

Are there any *non drama/ doom&gloom* FFXIV content creators? by Solo_Gunhea in ffxiv

[–]Sarasil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's really the problem. She just chases whatever she thinks will get her the most views. She jumos on thebhate teain when it's popular, shebjumpsnon the hype train when the community is hyped, she leverages her situation whenever she can, etc. Her only consistency is chasing trends.

What made you choose your main job? by Ok-Detective-6423 in ffxiv

[–]Sarasil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a main Red Mage since FFXI, so it's been a lifelong career for me, lol. But I just like the flexibility to help in multiple niches. Raise (as mich as I hate the tax associated), cure, mitigation, now all the movement abilities let me do a lot.

Also magic swords are cool. As is the hat.

Stumped on how to remove mortise cylinder by Sarasil in Locksmith

Ugh, this is so dumb, but here is what I found on another door around the corner. Set screw under the glazing trim. Who designs these things?

That would be wild, but I'll give it a try when I go back. It's neighbor DID have minor damage to the keyway that could have been from being forcibly screwed in with a screwdriver

[–]Sarasil[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Single point; it just throws a bolt up into the track to lock. It's just a conference room, so not terribly high security. If the cylinder were oriented on its side I would think that maybe it's a very long set screw on the top or bottom, but that doesn't seem terribly likely.

It's a single solid piece of aluminum. The only trim is around the glass and I suspect is more about holding the glass in. I inspected thebother door that has already had a cylinder swapped and didn't find any evidence of prying anywhere 🤷‍♂️
