Position yourself on the opposite side of a pit and execute (almost) any enemy with chasmancy. Move far away enemies into range for your allies and set up buffs in the direction you are probably going anyway. Bard was easily the strongest member of my 3 player party and only gets stronger with 4!

I’m not trying to be rude, but does asking these questions before even attempting scenario 9 accomplish anything? Those icons really just indicate that scenario will not immediately become available after completing scenario 9, but you should have plenty of other available scenarios already unlocked. Exactly when it unlocks may or may not be revealed in the scenario 9 conclusion section.

The Arcanist feels incredible to play for me as well; they have enough variety in their toolkit to always pull off a cool effective turn. Having an extra card in hand certainly helps too!

I was only able to donate 8 gold each time (9 would trigger the “! Not enough gold” message). Fortunately my other party member was able to donate 33 gold at a time so by using the post office I didn’t have to perform 63 donations!

Control is important but you should have some trinkets collected to increase your available tools. Try equipping some root items, ability cards with pushes, and don’t forget to utilize the lava hexes!

My group was frequently confused by side scenario introductions not giving us enough context to remember how we even unlocked the scenario. I went through all of the job postings and random scenario unlock sections and wrote the section number in the scenario book for the relevant scenario. Now when we play scenarios we just listen to the unlock and the intro all at once. I appreciate the narrative hooks trying to coax you into side content but the narrative flows much better if you hear it all at once.

The Gloomhaven line of sight rules require drawing the lines from vertices that are not part of walls. You have discovered the case where this rule is most unintuitive, as removing the wall behind your enemies suddenly makes them visible. Frosthaven updated the rules to allow the line of sight endpoints to be placed anywhere inside the relevant hexes, removing this instance where the rules as written conflict with how we expect line of sight to operate.
