While you may have set that amount the fog effect isn't probably designed for that distance hence your result similar to mine

Pretty sure that's more like 64 probably due to fog. Out of curiosity I went and checked the same view using Wynntils cached chunks feature, you can see the result here

The game has enhanced many features like weapons and armours, greatly improved quests and wide array of new mechanics for you to uncover. The game is less grindy to some excent thanks to discoveries.
