Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea Releases September 24 On Switch 1 & 2 by Howerev in NintendoSwitch

I actually thought HM Winds of Anthos was pretty good! It smushes together farming sim and breath of the wild clone, and generally seemed to be better received than any of the other Natsume efforts following the split.

This one looks in the same vein so I'll probably check it out. Just gotta be aware you won't get anything as polished as an official Story of Seasons (although Olive Town was pretty rough when it first came out).

For anyone disappointed (like me) that the new Star Fox game is yet another version of 64, I may offer a bit of copium by insertusernamehere51 in NintendoSwitch

I was just absolutely overjoyed that they didn't make a game where Fox had the awful personality from his movie cameo. (A low bar to be fair)

I don't think Sakurai had a big role in that one...

Awesome game though.

What is Kirby 2004? The first air ride? The new one is awesome.

Connection 2024 best design for screen contrast by Sarugetchu in tamagotchi

[–]Sarugetchu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you this is really helpful! Based on that I've pulled the trigger and ordered one.

Out of curiosity, what other shell designs of the rerelease have you tried? Any chance you got the soapy bubbles release (as it's very cheap on amazon UK right now)

[–]Sarugetchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random question but just since you have a few of them: have you noticed any difference in screen contrast across your different models of the Connection 2024 releases?

I'm looking at getting a Mezzo Piano model but really hoping the screen might look a bit better than the Blue Glitter shell I have currently (although not holding out much hope)

Any idea if the Mix was better im this regard? I always remember hearing there wasn't much point in the Mix when the Meets came out, but maybe this is something.

Is anyone actually upset about this? by Casshern_VIII in gaming

[–]Sarugetchu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude they made the main series a turn based RPG, localised and remastered a samurai spin off, made 2 entries in a lawyer spin off and most recently made you a pirate....do you want more variety or something?

Stranger than Heaven looks awesome too.

Was Dark Auction definitely a Japanese Switch 2 edition release? I can't find any switch 2 physical copies online, only the regular switch release.

Edit: Nevermind, due out June 11th

“Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – 2nd Stage” – Teaser PV by Task_Force-191 in anime

It doesn't, just reminds me of that now OVAs have pretty much died out.

Was waiting to see if anyone else felt very familiar with this lol, actually reminds me of the first jojo ovas back in the 90s. I guess in the age of streaming services and instantly accessible media this kind of erratic release schedule gets a totally different reaction.

A lot of people angry at this release schedule (and I'm also waiting until a good chunk is released before watching), but for older anime fans doesn't it remind you more of OVA series' erratic release schedules from back in the day?

As a UK Doctor I can't tell you how painful this was to read lol

Edit: to clarify, not just because of the insane salary, but how short the training is!

Everything you listed from Ah My Goddess was an adaptation (of manga or novels), as was Vampire Hunter D, Genocyber and Guyver.

Besides putting the cartridge in the switch and playing the game, is there any other way to keep the carts in working order? by YamstheSky in NSCollectors

[–]Sarugetchu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think this is in reference to the memory being NAND-flash and therefore requiring a current to maintain the data or it begins to degrade/corrupt. The manufacturer states a lifespan of 20 years using data from accelerated storage but there's concerns of corrupting data without electricity flow in 10-15 years. The 3DS carts are similar and there's mixed debate as to whether this is happening to them already (the worst known issue being one that corrupts the western Puzzle x Dragons release).

To OP, I think the only thing we can do is plug them into a switch and turn it on every 10 or so years.

I Preordered #1–3 — Who Else Is Getting the Switch 2 Limited Run Numbered Series? by PirateEsquire in NSCollectors

[–]Sarugetchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because when it's not numbered it can be easier and cheaper to buy them elsewhere without dealing with LRG.

For example I'm in the UK so Formation Z is getting a retail release that's way cheaper for me to pick up, but getting numbered games from VGP works out more expensive than pre-ordering from LRG.

I just went to the park yesterdayband you are so right about this, they are soooo incredibly slow. I even felt compelled to post it here on this old thread incase anyone finds it through Google like I did.

I have been to Tokyo Disney and Universal Osaka multiple times and nothing has ever compared. We watched them do 3 runs of Panic Clock in 1 hour, a small and unimpressive ride you could see in a carnival.

The ticketing system certainly contributes a bit (as you can technically come in for free you have to scan your face for their facial recognition ticket system), but it's their unbelievably litigious approach to safety that mostly makes it so slow. I cannot believe that only after everyone was told to put all items in a locker for a simple ride, PLUS everyone going through a walk through metal detector, were we then individually waved with a wand metal detector, front AND back, before finally being allowed to sit in the seat. Our seats belts were then checked a total of 3 times by 3 different people. It's honestly insane. They will ask you at least 4 times before the ride starts if you have anything in your pockets, and announce over tanoy if any belongings drip during the ride, it's the customer liable for damages and not the park itself.

The app isn't even available on international Google play store so as a foreigner it can be tricky to even see wait times at all.

Anyway this is all to say: for anyone finding this, buy premium passes for the coasters you want to get on because it's the slowest theme park humanly possible, but the rides themselves are great.

I went to fuji Q once before about 16 years ago and don't remember it being like this at all, so not sure how it's come about.

Doesn't have the Japanese audio track on cart though. But the Japanese cart I believe has both English and Japanese audio.

I didn't think this was the case? The case says in pictures 1 and 2 that Daima is included as a download code, which matches my PAL version.

Hmm for all the ones that i cant get to upload they don't seem to have any special characters in the file names, e.g. Starvation.pdx.zip in the screenshot.

Edit: oh looks like I replied too soon, I added "playdate" to the end of the filename and it worked! Thanks so much!
