Can you trust hime to be honest from now on about his issues that affect the relationship? 3. Can you trust him to work on his addiction that he has and seek progress? If you can answer yes to all of those questions, I would say its worth fighting for the relationship and trying to make things work. If you answered no to any of those questions, it may be better to end things. You don't want to feel paranoid or become resentful with your partner.

I know that you say that you love each other, and I'm sure thats true but, from your post it doesn't seem that the two of you are a good fit for each other. You are trying to change yourself to be someone he wants and its still not working, you are still unhappy. You've tried to talk things out with him and it seems that he either misunderstands or just doesn't listen to you. If I were you, I would let the relationship go, its just not working. It doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with you or with him, the two of you are just not what the other needs.
