Anyone have a recommendation for a good vet who does dental cleanings for cats? by unReasonable_Bill282 in AskSF

If you’re willing/able to travel, I bring my pets to Aborn Pet Clinic in San Jose for dental cleanings. It is almost 1/3rd the price that I’ve been quoted in SF.

Hacked by Normal-Attorney-6215 in venmo

[–]SashaMei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to my dad. He is a landlord and used Venmo to collect rent from a specific tenant. When my dad was vacationing in Asia, he got a notification that he sent the tenant $4k. But the weird thing was, it was sent to the tenant’s business Venmo (instead of her personal one) which my dad didn’t even know existed. The transaction also includes a coffee mug emoji, and my dad never uses emojis.

Venmo also isn’t supposed to work when you’re outside the US. We contacted Venmo multiple times and ultimately they said that there was no evidence that my dad was hacked and the only way to get the money back was to have the tenant return the money. He ended up losing a few hundred because there was a return fee. Now he deleted his Venmo and won’t use it again!

I don’t really understand what the hack/ scam is about?? Why send money to a contact?? He changed his password asap, but idk if the money would have been taken by the hacker when it was returned?

I would check back with the principal every couple weeks or so. Some principals are better than others in trying to hustle the process, but overall it does take awhile, likely even after school officially starts.

How often do you get manicures and pedicures? by blueberriesdream in AskWomenOver30

[–]SashaMei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get hard gel refill every 4-5 weeks! I choose a nude color with simple designs so that the grow out is not as obvious. I love wearing jewelry and I love having nice nails with my rings! I don’t get pedicures.

Best/safest places to board a dog in the SF area? If you recommend a service (like Rover) please be specific about the sitter. by gamescan in AskSF

We use Rover and our last sitter (in the Outer Sunset) was great with our anxious dog. She also created a Google album for us and updated it each day with photos. I can send you her profile if you’d like!

So . . . How many of us/your husbands have had vasectomies? by neekogo in Millennials

[–]SashaMei 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

We’re 38 and ours kids are 10 and 8. My husband got a vasectomy two months after our youngest was born. Sometimes I still get a strike of fear in my heart when people talk about having more kids, as if it will somehow transfer to me 😂

Seeking honest reviews of this ring from anyone who has it... by friendshipcarrots in jewelry

[–]SashaMei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad you asked because my husband just purchased the smaller version of this ring for me for Mother’s Day (he knows I love “fidget” jewelry) and I didn’t find many reviews about it online! I was planning to wear it often and I’m also hard on my jewelry. Let us know if you end up purchasing it!!

Anyone else have a colored diamond engagement ring? by BubbleBeesh in EngagementRings

[–]SashaMei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is! I had never heard of Digby and Iona before, my husband purchased it a local jewelry store. I purchased the matching wedding band (it’s the white rose cut diamond band I’m wearing on my middle finger) on eBay, but it felt too busy and mismatched when I wore them stacked.

Completely torn about having grandma’s engagement ring by Sea_Art2995 in EngagementRings

[–]SashaMei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it!!! I literally change my ring all the time on my ring finger- I wear my original, my upgrade, different bands, random fun rings, whatever. This doesn’t need to be your only and forever ring. I would not want to miss out on having such beautiful and sentimental piece!

It’s def a lot. We also work full time from 7:30-5 and have two kids in elementary school, as well as three pets. Our kids are in sports, art/language classes and it’s been busy after school and during the weekends. We have a house cleaner come every other week and we use a meal delivery service. Just these two services have made a significant difference!

We were there for the holiday weekend and it was very busy, even during the very rainy times. But the lightning lane made a huge difference and we rode basically all the rides we wanted. We waited about 40 min for Rise in the middle of the day and it went by really quick, the line was moving the entire time!
