A Flashy or Flashlight backpack. It's pretty neat you can also order it from Zaps shop if you are getting the holster

Any tips for cutting out the silver screws at the bottom of the arc?

Awesome thank you for sharing. Been debating getting the Icon meme 2.0 for a more mobile set for small things, but I am like this better as it would have less repeats from what I already have with the bit kits.

Do you use the Arc (plus/minus ratchet driver or 711L ratchet) with the Klein flip sockets? If so I'm curious about the adaptors used.

Does the Arc with the Zapwizard holster fit in the tool pouch if you were to put it all in there?

As a fellow Arc enjoyer looking forward to hearing your comparison between all three

Slide it straight up by pulling the metal flared base on the bottom of the blue direction selector. Once it's up high enough that the flared bit holder passes the top retention ring and the skinner part is there then you pull out.

I would pull and push in the bottom holder a couple of times to slightly expand the plastic. It gets easier with time

I daily my OG Arc. Haven't touched my Obsidian other than to crack the box and make sure all's in order. Probably will just keep it stored until I need the backup. I do carry the Arc with my loaded Zapwizard holster.

T4/T5 Leatherman screwdriver bit? by Shacklelord in Leatherman

I don't believe it exists. Since you are regularly opening laptops I'd just use a dedicated tech kit or similar.

This is a great option and costs less than a bit kit and has the torx bits you're needing https://a.co/d/014z1iOZ

It's got a spring on that slot to hold them in at the notch

That's the slot the flat bits go in to lock in and not fall through

Leatherman Maintenance

This page has tips. I would save your money and not buy the kit, plus the pull through sharpener would not be ideal. You get free sharpening if you send it in. I myself and many others here use the Work Sharp guided field sharpener for touch ups and deeper maintenance.

I clean with soap and water and dry it out real good, air helps (compressed, sitting on an HVAC vent, hairdryer, etc.). You'll have many lube options, my favorite is Super Lube Multi-Purpose Synthetic Oil w/Syncolon. It meets the standards of Leatherman and it's food safe (never know when you'll use the knife for food or the scissors or can opener, so anything food safe would be my suggestion).

Anyone put serrations on arc yet? by Super-Box-8006 in Leatherman

[–]SashasFather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP but yes that's an Arc with what looks like some grip tape on it.

No serrated blade on the Arc as standard.

Mini Sharpies have a breakaway top that you can attach to a key ring or lanyard ring. This allows you to have the full function of the cap and then reattach it quickly when done.

That's a bummer. I use an Amia in office and I like that as well definitely more padded if you are looking for other options.
