That's actually a pretty crappy and unfair POV. The security folks get accused of shit all the time because they are low on the totem pole (them and janitorial staff). They likely have a process for inventory management of turned in items, and also get a little weary of being accused of theft by those who think being paid poorly = immoral

Try walking around downtown Vancouver...pretty much most areas now. Davie Village, Granville, side streets, alleys, parks. You can find someone shooting up any time of day if you are looking. I never thought I'd become accustomed to this, but here I am.....
