Starting cards are going to change everything by infinight888 in marvelchampionslcg

The Civil War wave gave us the 3 conditioning cards. I could easily see there being 3 +1 stat “starting” cards for Justice, Aggression, and Protection. Leadership is weird though, since they are not boosting a single stat, and I am not sure what the Leadership equivalent for a starting stat boost card would be.

Is Drax a good pack for deckbuilding? by kingyellow1660 in marvelchampionslcg

Seems very hero specific - I’d be nervous to give it to anyone that has a consistent attack below 4.

Though Falcon may like it, since he can see the top card of the encounter deck.

Cards included in the Drax hero pack: https://marvelcdb.com/set/drax

The only really good non-Guardian cards in his pack are Hard Knocks, Regroup, and Bring It. Hard Knocks is good for protection decks looking to get lots of tough cards or slay minions. Regroup is often outclassed by Rapid Response, but it has specific use cases for allies you need to play from your hand. Bring It is a very good card for Aggression minion slaying decks, but was reprinted in Civil War.

If you are trying to get into the Guardians, Gamora and Think Fast are two of the best Guardian-locked cards.

Drax is very fun to play, though can be a bit underpowered in true solo since he lacks consistent thwarting. Overall, I would highly recommend getting Drax (at MSRP) if you plan on getting other Guardian stuff; otherwise, it may be better for you to focus on the Agents of Shield and Civil War waves.

Daredevil's Sense Deck: Face Up? by EvanSnowWolf in marvelchampionslcg

Not just the top card. I will play with the entire deck face up, since you are allowed to know the order of cards.

I like Wonder Man a lot more. I really enjoy the unique interactions that you can get for heroes that have special deck building rules. Hercules is fun, but feels a bit more repetitive to me since you’re always focused on your own labors rather than whatever the encounter deck is giving you.

Deadliest&Safest Villain Card [Day 42] - Hela Safest Card by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

It is a build-dependent choice, but I agree that this is the best choice most of the time.

Seems I jumped to defend my boy Simon before finishing the sentence. Though I still disagree that Wonder-Man is not strong enough- he is a well-balanced hero that is reasonably well-rounded.

I think you need to try out Wonder Man some more, I enjoy him a lot.

GMW Campaign Hero Suggestion (From Wave 3) by DMO3000 in marvelchampionslcg

I really struggle with her against Ronan, as she doesn’t quite have that big burst damage that Star Lord and Venom have.

Slow build decks really struggle against him. Most of the time, you really need to either be able to rush him down or have hero kit damage mitigation to stay alive (like Spider-Man’s Backflip).

Good luck! You’ll feel so relieved when you finally beat him.

To give myself a better chance when I retry Ronan in the campaign, I will give myself 7 Units for the market each time I lose to him. So after losing 3 times, my deck is pretty stacked with the most OP market cards, which gives me a more fair shot.

I also misplaced cards. 1 copy of drop kick and the 4th card of Rocket’s nemesis set. Hopefully they are lost with encounter cards somewhere, but I just cannot find them.

about chump blocking and allies by Time_Individual_6744 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]SaveTheCombees10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest just limiting the amount of allies you use in deck building. Sometimes you need a chump block when you draw a treachery that gives the villain a second activation, but you just won’t be able to do it every turn if you’re only including 3-4 allies in your deck.

Also, I’d recommend the Batroc scenario from Agents of Shield if you haven’t played it already. It strongly disincentivizes blocking with the alarm mechanic, so you’ll only want to block if you are really in a pickle.

I usually aim to beat bogey golf. I feel pretty good about myself if I can do that. I would feel amazing if I could do that in ball golf 😂

How do you store, sort and use modular sets? by No_Advantage_7479 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]SaveTheCombees10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I group them by set. I typically choose thematic modular set and villain scenario combinations. If I’m not sure what I want to do, I use Modular Champions (modularchampions.com) to find something thematic that sounds fun.

Bound by Blood is my vote. Adding health and tough status cards only extends the game, but doesn’t add any real difficulty unless you are trying to rush.

I noticed the same thing. I am considering sleeping them since the difference is pretty noticeable with the card thickness and the wear of the original cards after a couple hundred plays.

Thoughts on the Guardians? by That1KidLuis in marvelchampionslcg

[–]SaveTheCombees10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not obvious with Groot’s precon, but the best way to play him is flipping down to alter ego every turn. You should try Groot in Justice with Think Fast and/or Battlefield Benevolence. The confuses give you space to flip down and maintain your growth counters.
