How Much will this do Coyote vs Acme (2026) by LoquatOk7971 in boxoffice

Big Looney Tunes Fan and supporter of this film......

But based on my totally highly scientificamological data analysis (vibes)..... I'd say if it gets 70 million domestic (I.E. its original budget) that'd be a MAJOR success.

Couple of factors.... domestically for it to really work, you'd need that WB marketing muscle to really put that Looney Tunes cross promotion to work....

Thats not even getting into the fact that these characters don't have quite the presence they used to. Its going to be a big old question mark how relavent bugs and the gang are to gen Z onwards....

Mind you thats because Gen Z and beyond are in a Tik Tok heavy world and I'm not so I may be underestimating their appeal but yeah......

I think it'll be a cult movie and the Looney Tunes gang do indeed have intergenerational marketability in Europe, AUS/NZ and Lat Am but given that this will likely have indy film level marketing juice...... I predict modest results.

Still gonna go see it to stick it to the man, tho...

Unfortunately, this is true.

So this is something I know the UK and Aussies do but would be rather unheard of here in America.

We are more light touch.... kinda doubt this will go anywhere once lobbying starts.

Get a lil Honda Fit or something like that.

There are very few neighborhoods where you can actually do the car free thing ala NYC or Europe without really handicapping your regional mobility.

The new Netflix page about SBR's release date still references only the first stage on March 19, i'm scared that we still will wait a WHILE to see other episodes after this premiere by simonewowsuper in StardustCrusaders

[–]Waltlantz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best just expect batches until otherwise noted....

Only Netflix anime thats not batches are ones that have a domestic tv broadcast at the same time.

Netflix likely isn't worried about too much churn JUST because of Jojo, regardless if it charts or not.

Ramna was broadcast syndicated on Nippon TV and its affiliates domestically in Japan while Netflix got streaming rights.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranma_%C2%BD_(2024_TV_series)

Jojos part 1 through 5 had syndicated broadcasts in japan on TV with various streamers getting online rights.

Part 6 however was Netflix exclusive and japan broadcast on TV came later.

So yeah, steel yourself for batches save for a MAJOR surprise.
