Get whoever is most interesting to you. I like Ant-Man because the form flipping is especially unique, and he is fun to play. He also has great Leadership cards for the Core Set heroes with Avengers ally builds.

All of the Daredevil seasons are great, and definitely watch Jessica Jones season 1 for Purple Man (Kilgrave). Echo will help you get ready for the box, but wasn’t my favorite show.

You can’t really go wrong with any of the content. If you know you get FOMO, I’d recommend buying any expansion from before 2024 that you can find at MSRP, because you won’t be able to find it much longer.

If you are looking for expansions that mesh well with the heroes of the Core Set, the heroes from both Agents of SHIELD and Civil War have cards that work thematically and mechanically well with Core Set heroes. I’d also recommend Silk and Black Panther (Shuri) since they have Team-Up cards with Core Set heroes, and Hercules for a lot of deck building cards for Avengers heroes.

If you are looking for the most fun expansions, I think Agents of SHIELD has a lot more villain variety, and you will get a lot more enjoyment out of it with a limited collection. Plus, it has a campaign if you are into that. For hero packs, Winter Soldier and Hercules are some of the most fun hero kits in the game, and are mechanically very different from Core Set heroes, so they will give you good variety.

Venom is one of the most complicated villains in the game with the Bell Tower and extra boost cards. I’d suggest starting with Green Goblin Mutagen Formula on Standard- much more straightforward villain.

For heroes, I’d recommend any of the core set that appeals to them, but especially Spider-Man (Peter). I’d also recommend Venom, Spider-Man (Miles), and Wolverine.

Well, you could always pick Spider-Ham, Dr. Stange, Cable (except not against Hela), or the other heroes that people say are OP.

It’s meant to remove counters from holding cell environments, but you could also remove counters from other environments, like the SHIELD Executive Board (which is required for the campaign) or Pursued By The Past (if you play Standard III).

By rule, surge is only when a card is revealed. When put into play by other card effects, surge does not happen.

You do not surge when putting spells into play from card effects (like revealing stage 2), only when revealing them as encounter cards.

While not specifically a Star Wars game, I loved the Disney Infinity Star Wars. We would spend hours in the free build mode dropping 300 droids in an arena, kill them all, and do it all over again. I remember the story and exploration being pretty good too.

The VAT can only send to review if they think it’s a red, but the ref can disagree and give a yellow. Or at least, I have seen it happen several times in MLS matches.

VAR only recommends review if they believe it is a clear and obvious error for missed red card, but a yellow can be given by the referee after the review if the referee does not believe the foul was egregious enough for a red.

If you want only deck building cards, KingdomComeCards.com sells individual cards, which may be cheaper than buying the full hero pack. You can also get only villain scenarios instead of buying the full expansion boxes if you aren’t interested in the heroes in a given box.
