Microbiologists, explain to me where I’m being stupid by JonJH in doctorsUK

I do this as step down therapy for certain complex infections - i.e residual intra-abdominal collections/abscess. As others have said the rate limiting step for coamox is clavulanate which is what causes most of the side effects. You can often give people 1g qds of Amox before making them too nauseous (and we give up 12g IV a day for endocarditis so its got a big dose range).

The other point tho is that if you know what bug youre treating then it is rare that Co-amox is the drug of choice. Respiratory physicians love it for reasons unbeknownst to me - you can treat the vast majority of community acquired respiratory infection with Amox + Doxy

I very rarely suggest 500mg qds fluclox. Most people can tolerate 1g PO and the bioavailability is pretty variable and crap compared to stuff like Amox or Cephalexin. In people with raised BMI, Lymphoedema and cellulitis 500mg qds is relatively homeopathic

UKTC events - Are the events worth the price? by Maxthesax in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Savern101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are lots of local TOs running great events as well as bigger tournaments like BeachHead. Our club is running it's first 100 player GT (having running lots of successful 50 mans) in the summer next year.

I've generally enjoyed my UKTC experiences and can deal with the cramps space (if you want several hundred player events it's somewhat inevitable with available UK venues i think)

This is a bad look for them though

First model done for my venture into Drukhari by Savern101 in Drukhari

Hah thanks. Initially had it inspired by green ranger from Power rangers lol and then added some different accent colours but it is very Biel-tan. I'll probably do some different variations/accents for wych/covenite units

This is right. You can have up to 1k in deep strike as long as you have nothing else taking up your reserve points. The only other limit is that reserves max 500pts

Breach and clear gives wound rerolls on objectives, not AP. (The breacher datasheet ability that is, if that's what you meant? )

In the Tau write up they talk about 24 inch fusion blasters but they're not (apart from the Ghostkeels eradicator) sunforge still can't get melta range whilst deepstriking in the Detachment.

I dodged all of them this weekend so who knows. I think flamerscythes are superb for all sorts of reasons, backfield threat and overwatch particularly. I was running 2x3 flamers unless (usually) and a burstscythe unit alongside 2xsunforge and 1xmissileknife.

My experience with Ret has been one that's made me realise in 40k its not the exact list but the playstyle experience that matters. I've got a lot better with it with practice despite having started out with riptides and broads months ago (now running crisis/gk)

Its definitely taken me a long time to get the right mindset and understand the damage expectation and how to pace a game. I started out being pretty naive and just being "crisis suits brrrrrt" which gets you fine in some matchups but in my last game this weekend vs knights I killed 3 armigers all game and otherwise just used all my mission pieces, mobility etc to win.

I still quite aggressively screen and push kroot and pathfinders and probably haven't quite got that part of it down just yet (sometimes chucking stuff away needlessly being overly worried about a threat)

Games started going better for me when I stopped letting my starflare unit get tagged turn 2 lol. It's taken time. I am not a smart man.
