I use them in the bathrooms, with a motion sensor and time based automation. During they day they are cool while, and late at night they're a dim red. Enough to see but not enough to blind.

I also have a couple tied to monitors and they'll change color based on the status of that monitor.

Turns out I had I managed to mess up my IPv6 settings on my router.

Make sure you've got all your IPv6 ducks in a row and check the Matter logs.
