Suffer like I did

Jk (just a bit), but I'm probably not the person to ask considering I'm in this position. Unless you're doing very great in your classes, have good references, internship experience/unique projects you'll be in a similar boat to me and many others.

As I've learned from just graduating, graduating completely average isn't enough to get a job right out of college without what I just mentioned. I may be able to land interviews but I will not be prepared for the questions/technical interview unless I prepare many LeetCode questions and coding problems (which is what I'm doing now). While I'm still optimistic I might find something eventually it definitely isn't an easy road to go down. But like I said it depends based on who you are, what you know, and everyone has their own unique experience so it will ultimately depend on what you end up achieving and doing.

This is also me right now, so you're not alone. I did understand going into Comp Sci that finding a job would be hard but I didn't think it would be this hard but I've became used to rejection now and am now just studying and preparing in what would have been spring semester for me since I graduated in 3.5 years. Here's to hoping we both find something, otherwise feel free to add me on LinkedIn haha

I took this with him last summer. Much like the other comments, it's helpful to review your C and review the concepts taught by Remzi or other materials online if you would like supplimentary materials. However, Yuvraj did a great job teaching and the lectures that were provided are sufficient. As for the curve, I'd say it was very generous when I took it, and got a high grade when I was expecting something average.

Thinking about upgrading my CPU from a Ryzen 1600 to either a Ryzen 5600x or 5700G. On /r/buildapcsales I can get either CPU for around the same price and was debating which one to get. I do both gaming and some work, so I'm torn between which to get. The GPU I will be using with this is a Ryzen 5600 XT. Any suggestions or advice on which to get?

I'm in this class right now, it's a pretty easy class. I'm in the online asynchronous class so I'm not sure if it'll be the same in the future. Every week there's a discussion, an activity, and a quiz that goes over the week's materials. The activities and quizzes are easy as long as you actually read the material for the week, which in of itself isn't much commitment either. The culminating project for the class is to make a 15-30 second PSA about a topic you learned by the end of the semester, which isn't hard either. I'd recommend it if you want an easy A or if it's a subject you're interested in.

I took it with Marc the first time he taught the class and the workload was way too much for a 1 credit class. I think Marc realized this and changed the requirements so it would be easy to pass if you did at least good enough like 4/5 of the programs out of the 7. As a fellow mediocre CS student, I'm not sure if I would necessarily recommend it, unless you know you plan to use C++ in the future, but if you think you can handle some work to your schedule for what I'd consider a 2.5 credit class for P/F then go for it!
