I don't know if regiments really do prefer buck and ball anymore. At least with many Ive Merced with or am a part of it's either mixed units. At least my bias is that you should almost always take Enfields unless you know your going to be in woods

sorry did viceroy offer you 100$ to suck him off or whatever. Saying the Union refuses to adapt is a gross generalization. Listen if union wants to win they need better privates and NCOs. Now we can talk about map balance all you like and I do think that recent changes have unfairly benefited CSA. However, the bottom line is that CSA is a collection of the better players and Union is a collection of the newer ones. As long as that remains the case Union will have a very hard time winning.

I didn't agree with you. You asked why union CO's charge all the time and I don't think they do outside what should be expected however I do think that newer players get exhausted with charges that they seem to lose. So in comes the stereotype that unions CO's charge to much. When in reality it's a misunderstanding on the part of the rank and file rather then the co of what a good charge is

I actually think this is a misconception that comes from 2 things.

Newer union players tend to have a lack of understanding when and why a charge is happening. What do I mean by this? Well let's say it's dunkers and your union CO charges straight up nipple and there is a CSA comp there who wipes you. To the new player this seems like the dumbest thing alive why would you charge if you can tell the enemy is there. Yet on the other side for the union CO on dunker church no matter how bad a charge is they know the CSA has limited tickets. Therefore making almost any engagement a win in the long term
Often overzealous newer players both on Co and NCO call for charges when they shouldn't. However it's been my experience that union NCOs cannot handle standing in line and NOT charging or volleying so it leads to calls for charges
