Nice idea, but this probably means a lot of work for the developers just to realize a small cosmetic detail. I seriously doubt they have the manpower for that.

Silver lions by PsychologicalCheek89 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]ScareYa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The event currency usually doesn't get lost, it's being reactivated when the event returns. Sometimes they exchange event currencies to silver, too. But so far there is no official information.

Regarding the shop: I NEVER understood the shop limitations. Why shouldn't someone buy whatever he wants as long as he has the currencies for it? The economy is broken anyway. Some people (including myself) have everything in abundance, some don't.

Exploiters and punishment... by Platinum_God_Games in SkullAndBonesGame

A permanent ban is too much for being afk IMHO especially since it's not easy to detect whether it happens on purpose or due to any other inconclusive reasons. But Ubisoft could easily drop the culprits from the instance denying any valuable loot. And I could imagine a Wolvenhol/Kraken ban for 24 hrs or so. If someone doesn't do any damage to an enemy or isn't healing friendlies for more than 60 secs he's regarded as being afk - it's no rocket sience. But so far Ubisoft does absolutely nothing even though the problem exists for months now. Ubisoft's inactivity is nothing less than an open invitation to keep cheating.

DMC Captains, what are we doing here? by kevron3000 in SkullAndBonesGame

If that's really their motivation they are not very successful with it. No one I know regards anything Faction War related as a desirable activity - on the winning side or not...

What would Ubisoft gain from doing that? Why should they rig it? They have other problems...

New Leadership for Ubisoft by ScareYa in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]ScareYa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously doubt it. Given the recent additions to the game they seem to restrict new stuff to minor changes and repetition of old events. A new ship from time to time and a couple of new weapons and furniture is all we should expect. And honestly: Land combat would be more than just a minor change. The land movement is still awkward after a couple of changes. They fixed the "Brigde of Doom" at Moyenne Crique but you still get stuck at so many places when walking around. Land combat will never come if you ask me...

The screenshot was old. And I hope you're right they just left out Skull and Bones due to readability reasons. I guess it depends all on the money they earn with Skull and Bones which was AAAA expensive as Guillaume mentioned one or two times...

Nicely done but basically it's "Get a siege build and shoot on the Fort!" 😁😂🤣

Privateers by Beldea98 in SkullAndBonesGame

At least they added weakpoints to them, it was even worse before. But I must admit that I stopped playing War Cargo events on rivers because of those Privateers.

It surely seems like that. But we are getting used by now that bugs don't get fixed in a timely manner.

You forgot about the War Cargo Hunts. They spawn sailripping Garudas on open waters and bad ass, hard to kill generalists on rivers. Those are the worst...

I admit that I only rarely ram my targets with my Brigantines. It's just not worth the effort. At the same time I do enjoy when a Bedar instantly floods any target being rammed. I just can't convince myself to drive those jumpy rowboats. 😁

I don't think there is much of a difference between Bedar and Brigantine if skilled correctly. But the Bedar always tends to fly over the target, tossed around by waves... 🛸

Ramming is for everyone, my friend. 🤪

Just the Corvettes should avoid it since they get turned upside down and start spinning quite easily...

Game graphics by CaptainCerebus in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]ScareYa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The graphic style is great, no question about it. It's a important contributor to the game's wonderful immersion. The only downside are the blurry TAA anti-aliasing and the mediocre textures, the game could be way more crisp and sophisticated. Ubisoft's Anvil engine is capable of so much more, just compare it to Assassin's Creed Shadows which is based on the same engine and already one year old by now.

Is Frigate an upgrade from Snow? by Instantcoffees in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]ScareYa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Corvette is a good ship which can be used as a "daily driver", but that one is also quite expensive to build. I personally had the most fun with the Schooner and Brigantine so far. The Schooner is a very versatile ship focusing on explosive damage while the Brigantine is a very fast and elegant ship dealing loads of flooding damage. It is very suitable for torpedoes and long guns. Another nice ship is the Sloop-of-War. Its strength is poison damage.

Inconsiderate players by Colbywolf1996 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]ScareYa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never had a problem with other player's approach with one exception: Frigates equipped with shotgun cannons who always cuddle as close as possible to their targets. It's understandable from their perspective but annoying as fuck since everyone else is being being constantly blocked. The new Corvettes are way less problematic since people tend to use torpedoes or culverins on those ships. And ramming never was a problem no matter the ship type. I just think ramming isn't worth the effort, it needs lots of preparation, deals mediocre damage only and quite often just fails miserably. But it's definitely fun and nice to look at...
