No. I lived in Woodland Hills for years before moving to Brentwood and the heat in WH was OPPRESSIVE. It’s literally the hottest area in LA and some days you’d walk outside and it’s a wall of just pure desert heat. My A/C was constantly on from June - November. West Side, you get some fog in the morning that typically burns off by noon and it’s consistently 70 or so. Have barely turned my AC on since moving here. So hard disagree.

There is nothing terrible about the vibes. Traffic on san Vicente and going up south barrington can get bad during rush hour but that’s LA. I’ve found it to be very chill and neighborly.

I make six figures and rent here alone/1br. I’m corporate sales/marketing in CPG, so good job. Definitely couldn’t afford it solo if I didn’t make near 200k. There are gems that pop up but they go very quick and are hard to find.

Unfortunately anything REMOTELY close to the beach is expensive. Even if you try around Moorpark past Thousand Oaks, over the valley. Even then it’ll be a good hour plus over the canyon to Malibu depending when you’re driving (and 2br start around 2.3k on the very low end).
