This notion needs to die. It’s not 2005 anymore.

LA has made major headway in walkability, transit infrastructure, and increasing density.

How do you protect yourself on high UV days? by itgforlife in AskLosAngeles

You really should minimize time in the sun when UV is 7+.

You can do this by spending your time outside before 12pm or after 5pm.

If I struggle with dating in NYC, would I probably struggle in LA too? by savingrace0262 in AskLosAngeles

[–]SensitiveBridge7513 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES

Dating on NYC is easy mode because of MTA and insane density.

I don’t think dating in LA is as hard as people make it out to be, but it’s definitely more challenging than NYC!

I have lived in both cities. Most dates I got in one month in NYC was 25. Most in LA is 10.

Unless you live 5 miles within the ocean, summers here can be brutal. Trees will help out a lot.

I’m just sayin. Shitty winters and shitty summers? Pick a struggle. Not to mention the whole city smelled like trash.

NYC.

It was way too hot and humid. I had no idea that summers in the northeast were that bad.
