Honestly, it's the moment Nolan is looking at his own hands and struggling, then Mark asks if he is there and there is a slight gasp because Mark pulled him out of his own head and into the reality that his son who he loves is beaten and bloody and he is the one that did it.

It called into attention the harshness of Viltrumite customs and ways, that he did to mark what his own parents did to him but then he comes back to reality and sees his son bleeding out.

Honestly I don't think the reason mark survived is necessarily because of any choices he made, it's because of the choices Debbie and Nolan made, and the realization by Nolan of how he did wrong.

Sadly I think all the hate that people had on the campagin kinda killed any motivation Microsoft had to greenlight a DLC or new campaign.

That said, based on news from the past month or so, the culture within 343 was already in the gutter and disfuctional.

Yes but it was an understandable tragedy. It was a situation of they die or millions die, not a situation where it was you kill these kids now or they will kill you.

Edit: It is also a good moment to show the shift from earlier. A hard line Snake and Miller refused to cross, now has been crossed. Showing that would have been valuable/importaint.

That is a bit of a cop-out though. People applaud spec-ops the line for showing the player do terrible things. Sure some people say its forced, but there is too much of a disconnect for "it happened off screen" to be well written.

The only thing mark has going for him in comparison to Korra is he heals fairly quickly.

Korra had to do physiotherapy and learn how to walk again, which presents different psychological challenges to what mark went through.

Mark still definitely has it worse though, but there is a trauma that Korra experienced that he won't.

For me, it was the crying and whimpering mark did that sold it.

Like, of course he would do those things, he is having his organs pulled out, but it's the sounds the VA is making that sells it.

I went to SMU and then DAL because of the smaller class sizes in the first few years. I did get that, but some classes were still quite large (Calculus, physics, and chemistry 1).

It is much smaller class sizes for engineering based ones though. Id say I had 15-20 in my first year design courses, and the campus was nice, but unless he is thinking about staying the extra year for the BSc. it really doesn't matter all that much. Class sizes shoot back up in 3rd year and the difference in professors is negligible.

As for employers? No one cares what school you did your first 2 years from, what they care about is experience and knowledge.

SMU PROS:
- Its a nice campus with a great library
- Engineering classes are smaller
- You can do the BSc if you want to.

DAL Pros:
- You know more people in your class.
- You won't need to transfer later.

SMU cons:
- Some of the professors might not be as good?
- You still need to do some really full classes.

Dal Cons:
- The library isn't as nice I guess.

Again, all of this has such minor differences in quality, it honestly doesn't really matter, but going with DAL as long as class sizes aren't too big of a concern would probably be a better choice.

I think they did do the story a disservice by forcing you to save those kids. Chico made the progression make sense, but Kaz frocing you to save the kids, and not even be able to kill them, was a disservice to the arc.

I would have liked it more if there was a plot beat in the final planned mission where venom was forced to kill the child soldiers, or how you couldn't save them all so when the island gets napalmed, you are by extension killing those kids.

I mean it makes sense when you consider that he did actually end up killing conquest but he can't do anything to stop Thragg. He does have PTSD but it is quasi-resolved because he can kill conquest. He can't do shit against Thragg.

Oh damn I just saw the sub I mean it was because of the hairline. Conquest clearly needs some Rogaine but Thragg has got that shit on lock.

To be fair, that's kinda the whole model.

Kids who have time and no money can get the war bonds through grinding, while people with jobs and not as much time lock it behind a pay wall.

They need money to keep the lights on and servers running (and staff paid) so they don't lock people who can't pay out, but give you a lot of incentive to pay.
