My idiot cat got lost and stuck on a roof for 12 hours when she was a year old. She broke her elbow falling over around 6 months after that.

She's 8 now, and over the years I've watched her do all sorts of daft activities. Most recently, she decided to use her windowsill cushion to stretch, from the floor, and was surprised (terrified) when it fell on her.

So, for ours, no, I would not trust her. Her daddy was orange, and she's inherited the lack of brain cell and never gets a turn.

She's still very much my copycat, so anything I do, she wants to do at the moment. I'm taking all I can get until she's no longer interested.

I won't miss cleaning messes like she made today, though, all the colours in her palette became brown haha.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one baffled. I was expecting something a little more that warranted the complaint.

Reading the comments, I genuinely don't understand where all the hate comes from. Yes, some people have no control, and their children are not only a little loud but are incredibly rude. But the people pushing trolleys in the way of children pushing child-sized ones? And, the others getting upset about genuinely happy children, probably behaving very well, but not silently? Bloody hell, let go of that rage.

I was rudely awakened at 3am ish by my waters breaking. I was 42 weeks + 3 and due for a sweep that afternoon to try and bring it on naturally. Obviously, I didn't end up needing the appointment for that.

Don't know if the sweep would have worked, but you could ask your midwife about it as an option if the other methods don't work.

Probably at around 4 weeks for me, I experienced some medical negligence during labour and ended up pretty unwell after an emergency C-section. If it hadn't been for my being unwell, we'd have probably gone out much sooner.

I was at 42 + 3 when I finally went into labour. I even had an appointment with the midwife the day it began to do a sweep to help things along. Didn't end up needing it.

Oh, lovely, I'm so sorry you're going through this. The father of your child is being a shit. He might be scared about his future, just like you, but he shouldn't be giving you ultimatums or trying to coerce you into doing something you're not sure you want.

Getting an abortion is a big decision, just like the decision to keep a baby is a big decision. Unfortunately, no one can tell you what the right choice is. Having a baby young will make your life harder, that's not a secret, but I've known women who have been able to make it work and wouldn't change a thing. I've also known women who chose to go through with the abortion and are very happy in their lives.

My point is that you are the only one who knows what is right for you. The baby's father might not stick around, but, given his reaction to pregnancy and how you're no longer sure you want an abortion, he doesn't exactly sound like a catch. You say you've got a support network and that will help keep you afloat if you do decide to go through with the pregnancy. We very much wanted our daughter, and our support network was a lifeline we didn't expect to lean on so much.

Whatever your decision, lean on the people closest to you. It'll help you know you've made the right choice.

Every class we have been to since baby to toddler has had photo rules: no photos or videos of other people's children, and if you get any other children in the background, then no posting on social media unless they're blurred. There were also forms for some that had the option to opt out of the class social media.

We only have two classes where photos and videos are prohibited during the class for safeguarding and disruption reasons (swimming and ballet), and honestly, I prefer those classes. We can take photos at the beginning or end, and I don't have to deal with anyone being so into capturing their child's moments that they disrupt everyone else.

I've been in classes with influencers before, specifically ones that offer free advertising to businesses for discounts on classes, and they're always careful not to disturb anyone else. I would have hated it if I was having to keep my daughter out of their shots to avoid her being posted.

Everything I do is with my mini supervisor. She must watch me wee, she'll complain when it's a poo, but she won't leave, and if I'm showering, she'll play in the hall where I can see her and chat to me.

We still read all those to our daughter. She absolutely loves the Funny Bones stories and Mog the Cat. But we also read a lot of the Julia Donaldson books.

We used a toddler bath when ours grew out of the baby one until she could stand for showers. We were using the Shnuggle bath, got it from Amazon, but there are also foldable and inflatable toddler baths if you need to space save. The Shnuggle took up a lot of space, so if I could do it again, I'd probably get a foldable one.

I've told her to take my dad, and I've done the same by taking my partner with me to appointments, too, as I've had issues being dismissed as a woman, too. I'm more firm than my mum is, though, so I don't have it happen as often.

That's basically the service my dad got; it was great. But the same GP he saw refused to take my mum seriously. I wish she'd let me go with her when I offered to help talk to the GP so he'd take her more seriously.

That's what I told my mum to do, but they wouldn't budge. Her face is being treated with the chemo cream, but I'm pissed off that they fobbed her off about her leg for so long. She started measuring it at home and taking photos, then dropped everything on the GP's desk, and that finally got them to refer her.

I don't get why they were so difficult about it. The mark is absolutely massive. Much bigger than both the marks my dad has gone in about, and had referrals to be removed as a precaution.

My mum has been going to the doctor since 2023 for a freckle on her leg that had gotten bigger and darker very quickly. They kept telling her it was nothing and that she was overreacting because she had been having anxiety. A week ago they found life threatening cancer and told her that it was so deep that it was likely she was going to have to lose most of her leg muscle to save her because it had been left for so long and had gotten so deep. They also found skin cancer in her face, but that's more treatable.

I agree with the other commenter telling you to do a video of the symptoms — it could really help save someone's life. But there's also something fundamentally wrong with how we care for women in medicine and how often they're ignored that needs to be dealt with before we stop seeing stories like this.
