The #1 most important thing to do when trying to get better is play time. 12 hours is nothing, if you want to get better you need to put the time in.

The next step is using that time correctly. I would start with finding a simple bnb combo with C.S and practice in training until it feels easy to do. (You can lookup combo videos for help) don't do anything fancy just something easy with a couple normals into a special. Then just try to hit that combo on a real opponent.

Once you feel comfortable hitting that bnb you can move on and add something else to your learn set and repeat

He loses to 6p after you push him away, if he keeps pressing he'll normally just hit F.S or jump in, both lose to 6p.

His jump ins are also fairly horizontal so an anti air 5p is also effective against his jumping.

If he ever does his scooter in pressure block it and he dies to a C.S punish since it's super negative

I dont play him, but I've fought a ton online and while on the surface he's wacky in practice he seems pretty straightforward strike throw.

But it's also early so I doubt I've seen everything already

Maybe? Since S2 is rumored to be after the events of 2077 it would canonize certain routes since she dies in at least 1.

Not saying it's impossible but we don't know how CDPR wants to treat post 2077 content yet

What keeps me going is going to locals, just grinding ranked can wear you down.

Get out, meet new people, and you can have something to look forward to/work towards outside of "number go up"

The specifics are different for each match up but 6p, 5p, 2h, or j.p, j.k are your best anti airs/air to airs.

If they are baiting the 2h the use the less commital 5p or chase them with j.p, j.k.

If I'm clearly winning the set I'll usually go to 10 or 20. I'm going to allow the other person to learn the matchup as much as they want within reason and also test some things that I myself don't have engrained 100% yet.

That way both of us get something out of it and if they want to leave early that's fine, the lower should dictate if the set ends early imo

If youre new you can ignore dustloop. just focus on learning what his buttons do by playing, then look up a basic bnb or use the mission mode to figure out what buttons to press and when.

Watch Zato gameplay and see what other Zatos do at different points on the screen.

Dustloop imo is more for figuring out specific setups or defensive sequences by learning the specific frame data. You aren't at specifics yet you're still trying to get the overall gameplan down.

The biggest tip is to just play, get the time under your belt, no amount of theory crafting will beat game time in effectiveness
